I've got less than 8 hours to leave for the beach! We are driving half way (or so) down this evening...and staying in a hotel. Then tomorrow we'll drive the rest of the way to Myrtle Beach! YAY! I'm really looking forward to laying around in the sun, reading, hanging out with Brian & Jessica, and eating good food!!
I still have some stuff to get ready today... So, I guess I'm going to go work on that. I haven't subbed since Wednesday at GWMS. That will be my last day subbing EVER! I'm so so so so happy that I don't have to do that again! Its not that bad, but it gets really really old.
I called Cracker Barrel on Wednesday to see if I could get started working there the week of the 15th. They have a new GM now...and she said that I have to be available for nights and weekends (as in Friday nights, Saturday nights, and Sundays all day) to be "rehired." Even though they MADE me quit. I was kinda upset about that, but I think Jesse will be getting a job soon. So, it should be ok. Jesse said that I can take some time off and work on getting my stuff ready for next year!

Can't get my new title to post
I'm in the process of updating the look of my blog today. I've got a new title for the top of the blog but I'm at school and I can't get it to load. I'm going to try again at home.
I'm at GWMS today. I'm hoping that today will be my last day of subbing. I don't know if I'll get a job tomorrow or Friday being that those are the last two days of school. Teachers know that students are a little crazy right now and so, of course, they aren't apt to miss school a lot. Secretly, I hope this is my last day. I have a lot of stuff to pack and get ready for our trip!

its already been a long week
Maybe its because I'm looking forward to the weekend even more than normal...or maybe its because I'm trying to eat as few carbs as possible...but either way, its been a long week and its only tuesday! This Saturday we are going to Myrtle Beach!! Brian and Jessica are going with us...and I'm really excited about it! YAY!
Brian called Jesse tonight and asked if he would want to leave on Friday night instead of Saturday morning...and we are going to stay in Asheboro, NC :) YAY! This means I probably won't have to drive! I hate driving.
Yesterday I subbed at Winfield Middle School. It was a CRAZEEEE day. I was supposed to sub for an 8th grade language arts teacher. However, when I got there she was there and said that they didn't really need me to sub for her. I wondered if they would send me home...but they had me go to the VP's office. She asked me to go to the library and watch 4 ISS students in there. They had so many kids in ISS that they wouldn't fit in their normal room.
So. I loved that. The kids just sat there and worked...and I played on the computer. It was great.
BUT...........................
a little after lunch the principal came in and asked me to go to Mrs. Runion's classroom. Unfortunatly... Mrs. Runion is the BD teacher! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
It was crazy insane in there. I can't go into all the stuff that they did and do because of confidentiality crap, but...take my word for it....those kids need a severe beating.
Today I had a super easy day. I was again at Winfield Middle but this time I was the Health teacher. The 8th graders weren't there because they were at Step-up day and a class picnic. And 2/3's of the 7th graders were at Field day outside. So, it was a very nice and easy day of watching Health videos.
Tomorrow I'm subbing for a 7th grade math teacher. fun fun fun. Almost done now..... 3 more days and I'll be on my way to the beach!

easy day today
Well I had an easy day at school today. I subbed for a science teacher who teaches AP Biology and Anatomy. They watched Patch Adams and a really stupid movie called Evolution. But...It was an easy day for me. When I got home Jesse said that he wished he got paid to watch movies all day! :)
Tomorrow and Friday I have to sub for a Phys. Ed. teacher at my Mom's school. I'm a little nervous about how that will go. I've never done PE before!! I hope its not raining so the kids can go outside! Wish me luck!
On Sunday night I finished the beach bag sewing project that I had been working on for a little while. It was really fun and I like the way it turned out!

I put one big pocket on the outside...and two pockets on the inside
Do you like it? Its HUGE! Just the way I wanted. I could never get all my towels, books, sunscreen, etc in my normal small little beach bag. So, I made my own and I made it big. Its sewn from two tablecloths that I got at Walmart for $2.50. I bet I still have enough fabric left to make 3 or 4 more! That makes the total cost for this bag between $1 and $1.25!

neglected...
This blog is neglected!
I have had lots of time off,....but still my blog remains untouched! What can I say, when its beautiful outside I don't feel like getting on the computer.
I've had a really good week! Because of the West test I only worked 2 days last week. It was SOOO pretty outside so I spent a lot of time laying in the sunshine. I also finished the last of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. I don't know whether to be happy about that or sad.
Yesterday we had a get together with Jesse's family at Alyson's dad's house. We swam with all the kids and then we cooked out and had some brats and pasta salad. :)
Today Jesse and I slept in..late. I kept waking up and going back to sleep until 10:45 this morning.!! Then I ate breakfast....and Jesse and I went for a jog. Then I came back and did my Jillian Michaels' No More Trouble Zones DVD. Now I gotta go get ready to go over to the Valley park to celebrate Jesse's dad's birthday. Its also our anniversary! I got married 7 years ago today! :)

still subbing...
Today I'm at Hurricane High School. I typically don't like coming here. Its a big school and they never get enough subs, so they "farm" you out during prep period to go cover for another teacher. I'm on prep now though and I guess they are going to leave me alone. I'm kinda shocked.
This morning I'm subbing for a Math teacher...and I think its a Language Arts teacher this afternoon. My first block class I subbed for was an AP Statistics class. They were extremely well behaved. I mean, the room was silent up until about 2 minutes before the bell rang.
This morning, before class, another teacher came in the room. She was slightly plump (I'm being nice here) and was gnawing on, what else, but a slice of bacon. I'm not kidding. It was kinda strange. She asked me if I was working tomorrow..and I hadn't got a job yet, so I said no. She teaches Chemistry and said it would be an easy day and that she had good kids. So, of course, I told her that I would be glad to sub for her.
Later, at lunch, I went over to her room to ask her something and she was eating Lay's Potato Chips and some sort of biscuit from Tutor's.
So, tomorrow... I'll be back here. Being a Friday I probably will get "farmed" out. However, she said she only teaches 2 classes tomorrow, so I may get lucky!! Apparently, she teaches an AP class in the morning beginning at 7:15. She said that they won't be here tomorrow so I wouldn't have to come early. Then, she just has 2 blocks. Her day is over at 2 something. We'll see how that turns out!
Well...... now, about American Idol last night. I'm pretty amazed because I haven't been able to call the winners THIS well before. I'm always pretty good at it...but this year I've been great! A Looooooong time ago on Facebook, I picked my top 5. I selected Danny, Adam, Allison, Matt, and Kris and whattaya know? They WERE the top 5! If I would have picked a top 4...it would have been Matt that I left off.
I don't know about the Top 3. My guess is that it will really depend on how well they sing next week. I'm guessing that it will be either Kris or Allison, although, I love both of them....but it all depends on how well they perform.
Tonight... I am going to the Funny Bone with Whitney, Kelli and Jessica. I'm excited! I've never been before, but Kelli won free tickets and asked us to go...so, I'm excited to hang out with them. I haven't seen Whitney or Kelli in forever!! :)
I'll be sure and write about it later.

Am I obsessed? hehehehe....
I'm having a wonderful day at school today!! I didn't get a phone call last night, but my phone rang bright and early this morning...and it was for the special ed. teacher for the 6th grade at Poca Middle School! I was so excited to see all my favorite little kiddos! They are so sweet to me. I miss them! :(
So, this is a pretty easy job, I mean, for a sub. I only have 2 classes for the whole day, each with maybe 11 or 12 students. They just come here for math and reading!..thats it. I'll probably float around with the kids and hang out with the other teachers some. This morning, I did have to gather together materials and make copies and stuff. I don't think she knew that she wasn't going to be here... I think maybe her son was sick or something so there weren't any real sub plans. I just figured out what they were working on...
With that being said, I've had some free time today. I've been busy on the internet looking at news releases about the New Moon movie.

I'm kinda excited about it, but I don't want to be one of those people who go to the movie on the night it comes out!! haha... I might wait a week or something. Dakota Fanning is going to be in it! She's playing Jane! Its such a small part. I wonder if they'll play it up since they got her for the role.. Also the guy that played Kicking Bird in Dances with Wolves is playing Billy Black. Looks like they got some pretty decent actors for the Volturi, too. :) I hope its better than the Twilight movie, because it wasn't that great.
Well, gotta go! kids coming!

I've turned into a reading machine!!
ok... Monday I was at Winfield Middle. On Monday afternoon, on my way home from school, I stopped at the library and picked up New Moon. I still managed to workout and even cook....but after that, I read...a lot.
I didn't get a single phone call for a sub job on Monday night. I was floored! I guess because of Spring Break not as many teachers are taking time off. So, I went to bed...after I managed to find a place to stop reading.
Tuesday morning I got ONE phone call. It was at 5:30 in the morning, and typically that would be just the first of many...and I could choose. The first (and only) one I got on Tuesday was for BD at Winfield Middle School. Well, that was an obvious NO! I've seen the BD classrooms there before. UH-UH! Not me.
So, after that... my phone never rang. So, I enjoyed a day off! I seriously laid in bed with Jesse until 11:30. You can guess what I was doing. :) Reading New Moon, of course.
Jesse had a job interview yesterday in Charleston. I went with him there...and then we walked around the Town Center for a little bit. After that we came home, I read some more, ran with Jesse, worked out, cooked dinner, ate, showered...and spent the rest of the evening watching American Idol (and reading during commercials!) or just reading. By the time I got to bed last night I had already read about 500 pages.
Luckily I got a phone call last night. I'm at Poca High School today and I like it here :) I subbed this morning for a Geometry teacher and this afternoon I have a Special Ed. Language class.
Needless to say, I have finished New Moon. Now I'm anxiously checking the library's website to see when Eclipse will be available for me to pick up. Right now it says I'm number 1 on the list! :) I'm guessing I'll get it by the end of the week, if not earlier. The weather is supposed to be wonderful this weekend, so I'm thinking.... book sun book sun book sun.........and I'm getting very excited!
While I'm talking about the sun, I have a confession to make. I frequently type in jesseanderin.blogspot.com, stare at the photos I posted of the Myrtle Beach Hilton, and pretend I'm already there! I love when I have something wonderful to look forward to. Right now, life is really good because I have SO much to look forward to. 1. the weekend, 2. Eclipse, ha! 3. nice weather 4. the beach, 5. never subbing again, 6. my job next year!!
I'm getting ready to start a new book now. Its called Jellicoe Road. Its supposed to be really good! It won some awards and stuff. I want to get it finished before Eclipse is at the library...because I know I won't be able to wait once I get it! :) Jesse keeps telling me that the reason I'm so hooked on these Twilight books is because they are demonic. I actually was slightly leerly of them before.... but if you've read any of them you know they are actually very innocent. Like a fairy tale. Actually...exactly like a fairy tale. I'd even say they are like a fairy tale version of Romeo and Juliet....especially New Moon. If you've read Twilight and weren't that impressed...you HAVE to read New Moon. Its like 10 times better. Twilight lacks something in the plot area. Its more like an exposition....you know, getting to know the setting and characters. New Moon pulls you much deeper into their lives...and has a much much more interesting conflict and thus plot.
I have to admit, sometimes I just wanna slap Bella. She can be so dense. And...what exactly is it about Bella that makes everyone so crazy about her. hahaha... I sound like I'm jealous. Its not that... I just think if Stephenie Meyer would have made Bella a little more desirable, the story could be a bit more believable. Perhaps its because we are seeing everything through Bella's eyes...and she, well, she's not the most self-confident person.
Ook ok,... enough about Twilight.
I'm going to start my new book now.

at school....
So, I'm here at WMS today. I didn't realize when I accepted this job that it was only for half the day. So I told the secretary that I would be willing to work this afternoon, but I may end up going home early today. I won't be mad if that's the case! :) The weather is pretty yucky and cold today so Jesse said he would be happy if I came home early so I can hang out with him! He needs to get a job.
Jesse and I watched Slumdog Millionaire on sunday night. I loved it! Its a very good movie..everyone needs to see it. I stayed up til 11:45 on a school night to watch it!
Last night I worked out, cooked chicken enchiladas, and then took a 2 hour bath. I read my latest James Patterson book, 6th Target. Its pretty good. I think the 7th book just came out. After this book I'm going to read Twilight. I also checked out a book from the library called Hunger Games that I heard was really good. I'm going to try to finish them both during Spring Break.
I only have 2 more days before we are off for 10 whole days for Spring Break! I'm mad because I have to take the MAT on the 18th. Thats the last saturday of spring break. I guess thats as good a time as any.
Since I got the job at Winfield High School... my plans for grad school have changed. I feel pretty secure there because its a growing area, they students are required to have a fine arts credit, and the principal told me that they don't have enouch electives as it is. So... I am rethinking the reading certification. I think I may stick with Art now. I would enjoy the classes more, I'm sure.
Now I'd have to decide which type of art to concentrate in. I love ceramics... I love printmaking...and I love painting. I don't really know what I'd choose...but now that I have a job I have some time to think about it.

such a beautiful day!
Today the weather was stunning. I went to Poca Middle to sub for Ms. Richards. The kids were so sweet and all happy to see me. I missed them! (I should say, SOME of them...hehe) It was good to see all the teachers too.
After that....I came home and ran outside. It was lovely. :) Jesse and I grilled burgers and then went to the valley park just to walk around a bit. When we got there, Sarah, Jay, and Caylan were there with their friends Jackie, Eric and their daughter, Madison. So we talked to them and I played with Caylan a little bit.
Then Jesse went to go workout at Ty's house (which is where he is right now) and I drove my little butt over to the Teays Valley McDonald's to get me a vanilla cone. It was a tasty 150 calories....just wish I had another!
Tomorrow I'm going to be at Winfield Middle again....for the same lady!! She's not been to school for 2 weeks! I think I'm going to get lunch at McDonald's tomorrow!! yummmm... I'm thinking grilled honey mustard snack wrap and a fruit & yogurt parfait.....or maybe a grilled southwest salad. Those are so good!

things are lookin' up
Well... today my depression left!
I had a great day at Winfield High School today. I subbed for my dad! :) He had to take some students on a field trip today. He teaches Intro to the Majors and Drivers Ed. I had Intro for first block.....and then planning second. I went to the teachers lounge and read a James Patterson book. Then for lunch I had an hour because my dad didn't have a duty. THEN, for 3rd block all of my dad's students were supposed to go to gym. So, I didn't have anywhere to go or anything to do for 3rd either! So, again, I read my book. Fourth block was another Intro class, but my dad came back early, around 2:30. So, I got to leave early! I got home before 3!
The weather was absolutely perfect today! I came home and Jesse and I went for an hour long jog. Well, he rode a bike. Jesse cooked corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots tonight for St. Patrick's Day! It was so good, too. He's been helping around the house and running a lot of my errands for me since his unemployment. I've been calling him my Personal Assistant lately. hahaha.... Its actually very nice to have a little help!
Also, I'm so excited today because I'm going to Poca Middle tomorrow! YAY!
It was so good, too. the most boring weekend ever!
I've been moping around the house all weekend. I don't know why really...but I've just felt kinda depressed. I think I'm sick of the cold, icky, gross weather. I think it might be because I miss having a steady job and I don't really like going from school to school.
I like working with my Mom at Winfield Middle, but its not the same.
Yesterday I basically did nothing. I got up and ran 6 miles on the treadmill. I was pretty impressed with myself because there wasn't much on TV to keep me entertained. I watched some travel show on IonLife about islands and then I watched Animal Exploration with that Jared guy thats always on Rachael Ray's show. Its a kid show, but its still decently interesting. After that I had breakfast and painted a pretty nice watercolor painting of a vase of brightly colored flowers. My students are going to paint it with me tomorrow night.
After that I was bored all day. Jesse was watching basketball.
If I had to pick my least favorite month of the year, I think I would have to pick March. The weather is depressing. Its the end of the winter and by now I'm getting stir-crazy with cabin fever. There are NO holidays. (although I do make corned beef for St Patricks day, but is that really a celebration? no.) There are no days off at school. Spring Break feels like an eternity away. You might get a little teaser day of beautiful weather, but it just serves to remind you of what you are missing on every other day. Yup, March pretty much sucks....and to top it all off theres the torture that is known as March Madness. Its the bane of my exsistance. I can handle a little basketball now and then....but not 24 hour a day basketball for like, what, 2 weeks??????????? I'm depressed just thinking about it...and it hasn't even started yet.
So... maybe thats what has been wrong with me this weekend... I don't really know.
But.. now I'm even more depressed because I got a phone call this morning from a teacher at Winfield Middle asking me if I could sub for her tomorrow. "Sure," I said. Then tonight I got a phone call from the Vice Principal at Poca asking me if I could sub for Ms. Richards tomorrow!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm irked deeply over that. To top that off, I just got a phone call from their Art teacher asking me if I could sub for her tomorrow at Poca!! I'm angry. Like I said, I like working with my Mom, but Winfield just doesn't feel like home like Poca did. At Winfield the teachers that work there everyday don't even know each other.... and the only person I talk to is my Mom. Don't get me wrong... the people are nice. But... I know a lot more people and A LOT more kids at Poca. Plus, I just love my little 6th graders. They'll probably be totally awful when they are in 8th grade, too...but for now, they are pretty sweet.
oh, I don't know why I'm going on and on and complaining about nothing. I'm sure I'll be back at Poca soon. I'll be at Winfield Middle tomorrow & Friday. I'll be at Winfield High on Tuesday. I still don't know where I'll be on Wednesday and Thursday.

a day at HHS
Today I subbed for a special ed. teacher who teaches Physical Science and Environmental Earth Science. It was an easy day. Her classes were really small.
During first block the asst. principal walked in the room and told me that I needed to cover half a class for another teacher. I always suspect that this will happen...and I always plan to hide in the bathroom for the first 15 minutes of my planning period. But.. he caught me because he came in during class! :(
So I had to go cover an Algebra II Honors class, but only for half. BUT... when I was walking to that classroom I saw the same asst. principal, so I asked him where the classroom was. As he walked me there, he says, "I need a big favor, I need you to stay for the whole block" So I did. The kids were good and they did their work... I had a really easy day even though I didn't get a planning.
Tomorrow I'm going back to WMS for the same teacher I subbed for on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tomorrow night Brian & Jessica are coming over for dinner... and I think we may watch a movie or something.

first day subbing again :(
Last night I didn't get any phone calls for sub jobs. But... I got a ton at 5 am!! YAY! <----sarcasm
I turned down a bunch of elementary jobs....then, finally I took a half day (AM) job at Hurricane High. I didn't want to go for a half day, but Jesse made me. I subbed for a lady who only teaches a half day. She teaches Assisted Reading or something like that....the first class had 7 students. The second class had 5 students. After my second class, I got asked if I could stay for another teacher, Mrs. Grim, who hurt her leg. At lunchtime, I went in her room and got situated...then Jesse brought me some McDonald's since I wasn't planning on staying for lunch. I ate in his car in the parking lot. Then I walked back up to Mrs. Grim's room....but the door was locked! I grabbed a teacher who was standing in the hallway and she says, "Oh you are going to switch to Mrs. Browne's room" Sheesh. So I ended up finally subbing the afternoon for a Adv. Communications class and Yearbook. They were all very well behaved. It kinda stunk that I didn't get a planning, but subs aren't required to have a planning block. Today was a very boring day. I really missed my 6th graders..and the 5 45 minute classes!!

whadda day.

Yesterday a girl named Sarah in one of my classes showed me that she had a fifty dollar bill. I told her to put it away before she lost it. Then we started reading Tom Sawyer.

In the very next class, we began reading, and another girl yells out, "I FOUND FIFTY DOLLARS!!" I said, "Give it to me, I know who it belongs too." Sarah is lucky that she showed it to me because I don't know what would have happened to it if I didn't know who it belonged too. It might have found its way into my purse. hahaha.
I kept waiting for Sarah to come to me, in a frantic fit, telling me she lost her money. She never did. I kept it all night last night.
The next day she never said anything either. She wouldn't have even brought it up if I didn't ask her some questions about it.
I said, "Sarah, what are you gonna get with that money?" She said, "Oh, I don't know. I'm not sure where it is. I think its at home. I had it yesterday in here and I haven't seen it since."
Well, she went to the bathroom and I told the other kids in her class about how I wanted to teach her a lesson.
When she got back, I asked the whole class, "Yesterday, did anyone in here find a white envelope with something in it?"
Justin says, "Yeah, with money in it! 50 bucks!"
Sarah says, "That was mine! Give it back!"
Justin replies, "I spent it!"
Sarah angriliy said, "Well you owe me 50 dollars!"
Justin says, "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers!"
I broke in and said, "Who believes in Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers?"
Sarah quickly shouts out, "I think its stupid!"
So I say, "Lets have a vote. Raise your hand if you believe in Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers"
The whole class, save Sarah, raises there hands.
So I said, "Good, that means I get to keep this 50 dollars I found yesterday!" and I pulled the envelope out of my back pocket! Sarah jumped up and ran to me...gave me a big hug..and I warned her about flashing money around and bringing it to school. Hopefully she hasn't lost it again.
In my second class of the day.... a girl was fiddling with my filing cabinet. She was messing with the little lock button. If you push it in, it locks. I don't have a key. So I said, "Don't touch that!" and she says, "Why? it doesn't lock" as she pushes the button. Then she tries to open the drawers and, of course, they are locked.

This typically wouldn't be a huge ordeal...however, this happened to be the filing cabinet that my homeroom students keep their cell phones in. Fabulous.
I dug through Ms Richards drawers. I found 5 keys..none worked. Then, I found a whole key ring with over 20 keys. None of them worked!! Finally another teacher went to get the maintainance man...and he just popped the lock off. Now it won't lock, but I guess thats ok. Sheeeesh!

felt like poo... but feeling better
Yesterday... monday. I went to school feeling pretty yucky but not awful.
After Homeroom and planning I started feeling terrible. Yucky, yucky, yuk! I had been having a cough and some congestion all weekend, but I had felt fine. On monday my nose started running...eyes watering...and all that stuff that goes along with a cold.
I felt terrible at school. I couldn't think straight. It was hard to get anything accomplished. I don't know if it was the cold or the meds I took that made me feel loopy.
As soon as I got home... I got right in the bed. I watched TV, played on the laptop and dozed off a bit.
This morning...thankfully, I felt much better!! My nose is SO sore, but other than that I'm feeling pretty good! :)
I'm really liking teaching Reading. Its making me think about possibly getting my Masters in Reading. :)

Reading Tom Sawyer...
My students are reading...(well they are listening to a Read Aloud CD and following along)...of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I really love Mark Twain.
I had a good weekend. Its just sad thats its over already. On Saturday morning I got my hair done at Bev's in Eleanor.
After that.... I went shopping with my Mom at the Barboursville Mall even though it was pretty snowy. First we went to Bob Evan's. I had their multigrain pancakes and they were DE-LISH-ISH!!
We were in Kohls for like 4 hours, I swear! I ended up getting my dad a christmas present and I think I know what I'm gonna get for my Mom now too.
We had to go to Walmart too and we didn't get home until around 9.
Sunday we had church and then we went to my Mom's church's Christmas dinner at the Eleanor Firehouse.
I cleaned my classroom this morning. ick. The windows had about 5 years of junk on 'em.
I'm excited for dinner tonight. I'm making "deer balls" My Mom gave me some of my dad's venison and I'm making meatballs and mac-n-cheese tonight! YUM!
gotta go now... this class is over!! Actually....Monday is over!! wahoo!

ahh, planning period
Here I am...on my planning period. :) So this won't be long. I have a couple minutes to spare. I just posted my student's grades to edline and sent them in for their Midterms. Most of them did well.
I actually wasn't that cold yesterday. I was thrilled! I dressed warmer so I guess that helped. Our usual custodian cut her hand and has been absent for the past few days. She always turns my heater on in the mornings...but since she wasn't here yesterday it wasn't on! :( I miss her!
I think I'm going to give her a thank you card when she comes back!!
Its a lot warmer today because I left the heater on all night. Yay, Tuesday!
After I blogged on sunday I searched the internet for something that would charge my camera. I ended up buying a Kodak battery charger for 28 bucks.
My mom sent birthday cake home with us on sunday.... I think it was 6 pieces (of a round yellow layer cake with chocolate icing and mini M&Ms on top!) and OMG it is the best cake ever.... Or, I should say that it WAS the best cake ever. I finished it off last night. I can't believe that I ate that much. (Jesse only ate a little bit) Oh well, birthdays are only once a year....and I usually don't eat birthday cake...but this stuff was to die for.
Today I am cooking chicken breasts in my slow cooker...and I'm going to boil some noodles later tonight to make "Chicken & Noodles." Holli made some for us when we lived in Winston and it was really good...so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Jessica is coming over tonight to work out with me!! YAY!
Jesse started his new job yesterday... he's working at a place called "Beneficial Finance" in South Charleston (on Corridor G). So far, so good! :) I'm so glad that he is done selling insurance now.

1st blog as a 27 year old
Yup..so I'm 27 now. yippee. (note the sarcasm there)
Its been a good birthday. I got a lot of stuff.
Thanksgiving was good. I'd normally have lots of pictures to put on here...but, sadly, something is wrong with my digital camera charger. It just won't charge my camera. I need to search online and see if I can find another charger. It was a cool little dock thing.... I'm kinda sad about that. Kodak Easyshare is cheap. If you're gonna buy a camera go for a Sony or at least a more expensive Kodak. I want a Cannon Rebel.
So.. anyway, no Thanksgiving pictures. I've been doing a little Christmas shopping. I got a lot of it done. All I really need to buy now is something for my Mom and Dad...and something for the "White Elephant" gift exchange that Jesse's brothers and sisters do. In case you've never heard of the "White Elephant" (I always used to call it the "Yankee Swap") Wikipedia explains it fairly well.....just click here. Its pretty fun. Last year I forgot about it until the last minute and I brought a bunch of used Christian books from back in my Bible College days. For Jesse's "gift" we brought a huge container of chocolate protein shake mix. This year I might wrap a 24 pack of toliet paper. No one ever does funny stuff though. One year I ended up with a picture frame and I saw it later (the EXACT same one) at Big Lots for 4 dollars. The gifts are supposed to be 15 bucks! I got ripped. Oh well, I guess I made up for it with the protein shake and used books. (Although those were expensive!)
Well I better go work out before it gets too late. I was getting sick of the same old workout videos... and then Jesse reminded me that I can watch fitness videos on demand with our Netflix membership. So I've been doing that lately. There are some Jillian Michael's DVDs on there...and there are some more of the Self DVDs (like my legs DVD that I love so much!) I also found some new ones called 10 minute solutions which have 5 ten minute workouts on each DVD so you can just do one, some, or all...and they are really good!
I'm dreading going to school tomorrow. Not because I don't want to go...just because I'm afraid its going to be FRIGID! I'm wearing long underwear tomorrow. hahaha. Can you teach wearing earmuffs?

at school again...
Today...since there are a lot of students absent...my students are watching The Adventures of Huck Finn. I love that book/movie. :)
Its freezing in here today!! I wish I would have worn something warmer. Almost lunch time now and I'm hungry. I brought Chicken Noodle Soup!! and I'm glad cause I'm freezing. I can't wait to eat it. As I sit here typing I have my big pink peacoat on...and my scarf wrapped around me too. My heater is on full blast...and there are about 25 kids in here with the door closed....and I'm still FREEEEEZING!! My toes are cold and clammy feeling, YUK!
I just found out that I will be here for the month of December! Yippie!!
