I've been moping around the house all weekend. I don't know why really...but I've just felt kinda depressed. I think I'm sick of the cold, icky, gross weather. I think it might be because I miss having a steady job and I don't really like going from school to school.
I like working with my Mom at Winfield Middle, but its not the same.
Yesterday I basically did nothing. I got up and ran 6 miles on the treadmill. I was pretty impressed with myself because there wasn't much on TV to keep me entertained. I watched some travel show on IonLife about islands and then I watched Animal Exploration with that Jared guy thats always on Rachael Ray's show. Its a kid show, but its still decently interesting. After that I had breakfast and painted a pretty nice watercolor painting of a vase of brightly colored flowers. My students are going to paint it with me tomorrow night.
After that I was bored all day. Jesse was watching basketball.
If I had to pick my least favorite month of the year, I think I would have to pick March. The weather is depressing. Its the end of the winter and by now I'm getting stir-crazy with cabin fever. There are NO holidays. (although I do make corned beef for St Patricks day, but is that really a celebration? no.) There are no days off at school. Spring Break feels like an eternity away. You might get a little teaser day of beautiful weather, but it just serves to remind you of what you are missing on every other day. Yup, March pretty much sucks....and to top it all off theres the torture that is known as March Madness. Its the bane of my exsistance. I can handle a little basketball now and then....but not 24 hour a day basketball for like, what, 2 weeks??????????? I'm depressed just thinking about it...and it hasn't even started yet.
So... maybe thats what has been wrong with me this weekend... I don't really know.
But.. now I'm even more depressed because I got a phone call this morning from a teacher at Winfield Middle asking me if I could sub for her tomorrow. "Sure," I said. Then tonight I got a phone call from the Vice Principal at Poca asking me if I could sub for Ms. Richards tomorrow!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm irked deeply over that. To top that off, I just got a phone call from their Art teacher asking me if I could sub for her tomorrow at Poca!! I'm angry. Like I said, I like working with my Mom, but Winfield just doesn't feel like home like Poca did. At Winfield the teachers that work there everyday don't even know each other.... and the only person I talk to is my Mom. Don't get me wrong... the people are nice. But... I know a lot more people and A LOT more kids at Poca. Plus, I just love my little 6th graders. They'll probably be totally awful when they are in 8th grade, too...but for now, they are pretty sweet.
oh, I don't know why I'm going on and on and complaining about nothing. I'm sure I'll be back at Poca soon. I'll be at Winfield Middle tomorrow & Friday. I'll be at Winfield High on Tuesday. I still don't know where I'll be on Wednesday and Thursday.

is it monday again?...already?
so...the weekend was good.
I wrote kinda early on Saturday and things didn't turn out as I had planned, but thats ok.
Instead of making that Chile Jack Chicken, we ordered some PizzaHut with Holli and Lester. Then we watched about a bizillion hours of basketball. While the games were on I uploaded a bunch of pictures on Myspace using Jesse's laptop. I wish I would have had that thing while I was in college. It would have been especially nice to have while in the dorms at Bible College. Of course that was about 7 years ago and they weren't really available.
Anyway... after church on sunday Jesse and I had our chile jack chicken, which was pretty good. I used the leftovers today to make chicken quesadillas which were absolutely delicious!! We use these awesome jalapeno cheddar tortillas...I buy them in the bread aisle at Walmart. I think they are made my Mission. You all should try them! They're the best!
We kinda just hung around on Sunday. The weather here has been kinda yucky lately so there wasn't much to do.
On sunday night our church down here had a special service with John Bevere. (If you don't know who he is, he is a very popular Christian author and speaker) It was a great message. He talked about his book, "Driven by Eternity." I really felt like I got a lot out of it and it was very entertaining too.
Today I went to Cracker Barrel and Bronwyn was there. I was training her again today...and I think shes going to be with me for the rest of the week! YAY! When I'm training I feel like the day goes by quicker...plus, you get help with sidework and silverware!!
After work I ran/walked on the treadmill.... over 4 miles in 45 minutes. I typically walk about a quarter mile, then run a mile or so, then walk a quarter mile and so on.... and I have been running at a 2% incline. I think tomorrow I may crank it up a notch and try 3. :) We'll see how that goes...or if its nice out maybe Jesse and I will go for a little jog outside! Today my average speed was 5.52 mph. I'm going to try to increase this number over the next few weeks.
Last night Jesse and I were looking at sub jobs on the Forsyth County's sub job finder webpage and one popped up for an Art teacher at North Forsyth High School for Friday, the only day I have off this week. Jesse clicked "Accept" so I guess I'm gonna be headed to my first substitute job on Friday. Pray for me everybody!! :) No, really... pray. I'm a little nervous about it!
For now... I gotta go blow dry my hair and get upstairs for this championship game! YAY, its over!!!

Saturday..what a day
Its been a boring day around here. Its rainy here in Winston. Even my cat is lethargic...ok, lethargicER than normal.
I woke up and got a little house work done. Then I made some french toast for breakfast. :) Now I have been playing on the Internet for awhile and I'm kinda bored. Jesse is upstairs with Holli and Lester.
Yesterday I went to Kohl's and Target and I tried on about 20 bathing suits. I wasn't crazy about any of them but there were a few that I liked. I didn't use my 10 dollars Kohl's coupon yet....but its good until May 1st.
I ran in Michael's but they didn't have any of those little peg board things I wanted. Oh well.... Since I didn't buy anything in there I didn't see any reason to pull out my paint & crafty stuff...so just X that offa my "to do list"
I did watch that movie yesterday. I did go to Wal-mart. I haven't gone to the library just yet...but I wasn't near there yesterday. I may go later if I'm still bored. I'd like to go to the Goodwill just to look around.
I wanted to go to the mall with Jesse tonight and maybe look for some more bathing suits...but I can't cause the stupid basketball games are on! BLAH!
Tonight I am making my own version of "Chile Jack Chicken" for dinner. Cracker Barrel just started it in a new promotion for the Spring. Its their grilled chicken tenderloins topped w/ grilled onions and green chiles. Then its topped with Monterrey Jack cheese and served with salsa on the side! I'm marinating some chicken now so that Jesse can grill it up later tonight! :) I think we are gonna have a salad with it.
Well... my head is lookin' pretty hideous right now.. so I think I'm gonna go try to make myself look respectable :)

back to NC
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Welp, I'm back in NC tonight and I'm glad that I get to sleep in my own KING size tonight! Sleepin' at my parents house means a FULL... I'm just glad Jesse and I are little people (not midget "Little People" like Little People, Big World "Little People" but just small) I can't imagine 2 bigger people in a full size!!
We made it in the WV pretty early on Thursday night. We went straight to Jesse's brother Mike's house in Teays Valley. Of course...to watch Basketball. Basketball has been the bane of my existance since the whole March madness crap began! We even had to watch the Davidson/Kansas game on his laptop in the car on the way home today!)
Thursday night was the WV game of course...and they lost. But it was a good game. I enjoyed myself watching my neices Abagail and Hannah & chatting w/ Alyson.
On Friday Jesse had to work a little bit... Mom and I did a little shopping. I got a cute new brown dress from Elder Beerman in Teays Valley. She got some new stuff for their front yard from the Craft store.
Friday night we spent w/ Brian & Jessica. We played darts and ping pong in their garage.
Saturday morning was Haleigh's birthday party. It was at Bozhi's Gym Nest in Barboursville at 11 am. It was a lot of fun watching the kids play but it sucked that the adults weren't allowed to play on anything. booo :( I have some photos to upload but I left the camera out in the car so I'll get to it tomorrow hopefully)
After the party we all went to Moe's for lunch (I get the John Coctostan with Chicken & Black Beans....Jesse always gets a Joey Bag of Donuts) and then we walked around Pullman Square a bit. It felt good to be back home in my HUNTINGTON again!!
On Sunday we went to Maranatha of course...and then back to my parents house for lunch! We left around 4:30 and got back to NC around 8:25. I drove from about Galax, VA to here... and it stunk. I hate driving w/ a passion....especially Jesse's car :(
I'm gonna go to bed now I guess... I gotta go back to the CB tomorrow..but at least its only 11 to 3! YAY! More tomorrow...
