a busy day of errands!
I knew last night that I had a lot to get done today.... I even took the time to sit down and make a to-do list. Usually when I do that... I get to about a half of the list. Today I got 'em all!
This morning I woke up and worked out... I did a Jari Love DVD called Get Ripped & Chiseled. Heres a video of here for you all to see what I sweat through every other day. :)
Then I made myself a vanilla protein pancake. I got ready and went to the Board Office to drop off my forms. I actually had to go in THREE different departments to drop off various paperwork. I practically gave myself a tour of the building!
I called Ms. Cole and found out where the longer cord that connects my PC to the projector was....and so I went to the high school to get the projector hooked up. I think I've got it now, but the longer cord is WAY too long and I've got cords going everywhere! :( I hate cords. I can't wait until the entire world is wireless!!
After that I went to the library, dropped off all my completed books, and got one new one. Nicholas Spark's book The Lucky One. Although, today I started reading another book...one I had never heard of, called The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti. So far its been pretty interesting, but I've only read like 3 chapters. I finished Peeps and it was a great book, except I thought the end seemed rushed...and not as well thought out as the rest of the book.
After the library I made myself a blackberry smoothie and spent about a half hour sitting and reading on the back deck. There wasn't much sun, though!
Then I cooked dinner...which I thought was AWESOME!! I made sloppy joe's...but these weren't your typical sloppy joe's..and there were no cans involved. I found the recipe on www.allrecipes.com and it was called Cabbage Sloppy Joes.
Mine were a little different though because I didn't use celery (Jesse hates the stuff) and I used ground turkey instead of beef to make them even healthier! I think I added some hot sauce and extra green pepper and seasonings, too. Oh, and I used Nature's Own White Wheat Buns. They are fairly healthy and very tasty. :) I whipped up a little homemade coleslaw to go with it too.
I normally am not that into sloppy joes, but these were GOOD! and I like that I can hide the cabbage in there and Jesse doesn't know how much veggies he's getting!!! hehehehe.
After dinner I vacuumed the whole couch (which is huge) I vacuumed the stairs and I vacuumed the entire upper floor. I even did the baseboards! haha... Then I did a load of laundry....OOPs...that just reminded me that I forgot to put them in the dryer!
I started watched So You Think You Can Dance and got distracted, I guess. I was glad that Jeanine won! YAY! Now, I just have a few weeks to wait before Season 6 begins!

sooo much paperwork...
Today I had to wake up early and go to WHS to a CE training on Substance Abuse. It wasn't that boring..haha. It actually was better than I had anticipated because I got to chat with Amanda and Kim, two of the teachers I worked with last winter at Poca Middle!
That was over around 11:30 and then I went upstairs to work in my classroom for a bit. I tried to hook up the projector to my computer. I got that to work, even though I need a longer cord to get it set up right. Then I tried to open the Powerpoint presentation on my computer from my USB stick....well, I was out of luck because my stinkin' computer is SO OLD that it won't install my drivers from the USB!! AHHHHH! I need neeed neeeeeed a new computer ASAP!
After that I stopped by my mom and dad's house for a few minutes. My dad is looking at maybe getting a new job.... which would mean that I wouldn't be working with him at WHS, but I think he would be happier. Putnam Co. might be making a new new full-time positions for Athletic Trainers (because they can't keep people as it is because they pay diddly-squat) So, if they do that he is going to try to get the job at Buffalo High School. We shall see.
Then I had to stop by the Board Office to pick up my benefits package. I had to fill out a billion forms....but pretty soon I'm going to have life insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance. I had to fill out a bunch of other stuff too. I even got a Heavenly Ham menu order form that I had to fill out for my CE training day on August 20th. :) I'm gonna get a Zesty Roast Beef Sandwich, an Apple, Double Chocolate Carmel Cookie, and a Diet Coke. :) I'm looking forward to that!
Tonight, for dinner I made Almond Parmesan Crusted Tilapia, Grilled Marinated Veggies, and Parmesan Whole Wheat Pasta. All from http://www.allrecipes.com/, my favorite website!
I watched the So You Think You Can Dance finale show tonight, of course. I have to say that, like Nigel, I was most impressed with Brandon and Jeanine. I can't really say who's going to win...I'm tempted to say Brandon, but..... a black muscly guy won last year and it would be good for a girl to win this year!! We'll see tomorrow!
Which one will it be??

have I given up on the blog?
Jesse looked at me tonight and said..."I guess you've given up on the blog?" and I said "No, there's just not a lot going on right now"
So I haven't been writing a lot lately..... but really I've just been going to Cracker Barrel, coming home, exercising with Jessica, running, making dinner, and then going to bed.
Last night, though, Jesse and I went to his sister Sarah's house. His grandfather had a heart attack this weekend so a lot of his family was in...some from out of state. So they all got together last night at Sarah's. We hung out for awhile on Sarah and Jay's back deck.
After that I came home and watched So You Think You Can Dance. I was very happy with Joshua's performances! and then tonight on the results show...he made it on to the FINALE next week!
Tomorrow I have to work from 9 to 3 and I'm kinda depressed that I have to wake up that early! Someone asked me if I could come in earlier..at 7 am! I said, "Don't think I can do that" 7 am is WAY too early, that would mean I'd have to leave here at 6:30!
I guess I better go to bed now.

crash & burn
So..I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance on Thursday evening (I'm still confused how Will got sent home and not Mark!!!)...and playing on the Internet. Jesse went bike riding with his brother, Mike.
At around 11 pm I started to get a little worried about them. Then Jesse pulls his car into his spot and walks in the front door. He says, "Before you freak out. I had a wreck and I'm really hurt"
So the first thought in my head was that he was in a car wreck and I was looking for broken bones, etc. But he had a bicycle wreck...and he was pretty beat up.
He was going really fast down the hill on Rt. 34 in Hurricane in front of the Reservoir. There weren't any cars coming so he pulled out onto the road to give Mike some more room. The problem came when he tried to pull back onto the curb.
He has a huge scrape on his shoulder...he scraped his palms....he got both his knees...a little on his lower back....a scrape on his right temple....and a gash on his chin. He had to pick a little rock out of his knee! Yuck! I guess he hit his head pretty hard because he was acting weird, too. I was afraid that he might have a slight concussion.
Well... he's doing better now but he still looks pretty bad. I took these photos tonight (Monday)
Today I went to Cracker Barrel from 11 to 4. Well, at least I was scheduled off at 4. I couldn't leave until 3 fat cows got out of my section at 5 pm!
ok ok, they weren't REALLY fat cows, but they were fat, rude women that got seated in my section at a little after 3 pm. They told me right off that the last time they were there they had bad service, had to send their steaks back a bunch of times, and got soda spilled on them. I don't know if I beleive them.... they just wanted everything for free. It was RIDICULOUS!!
They ordered 3 well done Ribeye steaks...with house salads and baked potatoes. When their steaks came out (I made sure they were WELL done) they complained that they were dry! Maybe you should order them Medium if you like juicy meat! People are so stupid. One lady asked for her butter and sour cream ON THE SIDE....and then asked for extra. Whats the point of having it on the side?!?!?! I honestly think she saved the butter and took it home with her.
They just kept asking for biscuits. At one point I had brought out a TON of bread already when one old hag asked for more. I brought her one biscuit on a plate and she said, "Are you out of bread or something back there? Why'd you only bring one?" I was shocked that anyone could eat more (I had just brought out each woman an apple dumplin' for dessert!) and I said, "Do you need more?" and I know I sounded amazed. hahaha.... Then they had the nerve to ask for 4 biscuits in a to go box.
These people left with a shopping bag FULL of food.
I have been waiting tables for almost 5 years and Ive never seen people like that! It was awful. I hope they choke on it. I had to keep telling myself, "What goes around comes around."
As a matter of fact, when they got up..the table beside them even commented about them to me. Oh yeah, they kept me there for an hour over my scheduled shift..and only left me 2 dollars!! Their bill...even though they didn't pay ANY of it...was 55 dollars. Yeah that's a tip of 3.6%. Thanks a lot ladies!
ok ok.... enough about them.
After work Jessica came over and we did a new workout DVD that I got from the library. Its called Kathy Smith Matrix Method. I like it a lot. After she left I ran 4 miles on the treadmill (good stress reliever)...took a shower....and cooked dinner.
Tomorrow I'm training someone at CB.... and I have to work 10 to 4.

Tuesday, Wednesday...now Thursday
Tuesday I worked at the barrel again from 10 to 4. We stayed pretty busy. I think the B'ville CB gets a lot more business than the Clemmons CB. I made 75 dollars. I rarely made that much at Clemmons.
It was weird being at the Barrel again....because now it feels like I was never gone.
After CB Jessica came over and we worked out again. We did the Jillians DVD that I have...hehehe....we did both levels 1 and 2. I think I might have killed her!! hahaha!
Wednesday I had the day off! Jesse and I just kinda hung out, sat around the house, played on the computer, and listened to music. Then we went to Wal-Mart and after that I made dinner...Spicy Orange Chicken Stir-fry with Brown Rice and lotsa veggies!
After dinner Jesse said, "Lets go for a walk." So we drove over to the Valley Park and as we were getting out of our car and walking toward the trails, we hear someone yell out Jesse's name!
It was Sarah, Jay and Caylan over at the playground at the bottom of the hill! I played with Caylan a little and then we went to TCBY to get some yogurt together. I got Cake Batter it was good, but I think I should have got the orange sherbet instead. Oh well....maybe they'll have it next time! Needless to say...we didn't go for our walk. :) but thats ok!!
I watched So You Think You Can Dance last night while I ran on the treadmill. I ran 7.25 miles and then walked another mile after that. I'm a little sore this morning. If I have something good to watch, I could almost run forever!!!
I was happy that my favorite dancers did well last night. I like Joshua and Katee but I'm starting to like Chelsea more and more. If I could pick the top 4 it would be Joshua, Katee, Chelsea, and Will.
Now I am getting ready to go upstairs and get ready for another day of work. yippee! Jessica is coming to work out again tonight... I think we are gonna do a Tae-Bo or a power yoga video today.

la-dee-da
another day of doing nothing! I'm not complaining... I kinda like doing nothing.
I've been talking to Debbie Clark, a manager at Cracker Barrel this whole week, trying to get me ready to work next week. I found out today that I work on Monday, Thursday and Friday. I'm not happy or upset about it. I just hope it doesn't suck too bad! haha....
I laid out on my back deck and got some sun. I read my newest James Patterson novel, Sail. Its good so far! :)
Then I did my favorite leg workout DVD....
umm.... later I watched So You Think You Can Dance....and I was kinda upset with the results. I think Comfort and Mark should have gone home, rather than Kherington and Gev!! As long as its not Katee or Joshua then I'm happy! :)
Now... I'm just chillin' and hoggin' the computer from Jesse...hehehe..
(I better go now.)

la la la...
today was another kinda boringish day.
but I did get my new cell phone cover today and it fits and I like it and I'm happy! Its got a soft feel and its red. I was really happy that it came so fast!
I missed the first half of So You Think You Can Dance because we went over to Alyson's father's house and swam in his pool...and I just forgot! I was upset!
I was glad to see the last hour though. My favorite, Joshua, seemed to do very well.
and that was pretty much my day....told you it was boring

Momma Got Some New Shoes!!
Yesterday was a great day! I was busy doing stuff all day long. I meant to blog last night and I just never got around to it.
First of all yesterday I got up and did my Self: Sculpt Sexy Legs Fast DVD workout.
Then Jesse and I shipped out my returned Nike running shoes to Zappo's. By the way... http://www.zappos.com/ is a GREAT place to buy shoes. Its free shipping and they let you ship them back for free up to 365 days later as long as they are in the original condition. They are known for outstanding customer service. I also found another good shoe site called http://www.onlineshoes.com/. This site gives you free shipping and free return shipping, too...but they have to be back within 90 days, but you can try them out!! They don't have to be in original condition. They say you can even run in them!! The only catch with them is that you have to exchange the shoe, if you want a refund then they subtract a fee (like 6 or 7 dollars) from your refund.
Ok....anyway. We were gonna go over to Jesse's sister Sarah's house. She and her husband, Jay, work during the day but Jesse's mom stays there with their daughter. I wanted to lay out in my 'kini on their back deck. But...it wasn't very sunny.
So I decided I wanted to go to the Huntington Mall to try on some running shoes. We went in Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Kid's Foot Locker, the Shoe Dept., Champs, and any and every shoe store I could find. Last we went into the Finish Line (ironically).
I saw an Adidas shoe that I liked in there. I asked the sales guy if he had a size 6 and, of course, they start at size 6.5. So I tried that on and it was way too big.
So, I looked at the girls shoes. They had 2 Adidas shoes that I liked in the little girls. They were kinda funky looking, but I asked for a size 5 in one of them. They felt pretty good...and I got up to go look at the other one. The sales guy says, "You won't like that one as much." So I took his word for it and bought the first ones. They were originally marked 85 dollars, but it said they were on sale for 70. When I went to pay (after the guy tried to get me to buy 12 dollar socks and weatherproofing spray) the shoes were only 50 dollars!!!!! I was really happy!
On the way home we stopped at Sarah's house to hang out with Jesse's mom for a bit. We ended up staying for awhile. I had a lot of fun playing with Caylan.
Then we came home and put my new shoes on! I went upstairs to the treadmill and ran a quarter mile with my regular clothes on. I couldn't wait to try them out. So then I got changed into my running clothes and I ran 5 miles without stopping for the first time ever!! I really really really LOVE these shoes!!
At firsst I thought they were kinda wierd looking, but now I really like them!!

After my loooong run, Jeremy came over and hooked up our dryer. YAY! I washed 3 loads of clothes last night. I thought I had even more that than but this washer is pretty big!! The dryer works super fast too! I'm really happy that we have new ones now!!
Of course I watched So You Think You Can Dance last night...and I was so happy because Joshua and Katie were NOT in the bottom 3. I was sad to see Thayne go but I think the Judges made the right decision.
Also my cell phone cover arrived in the mail yesterday. I immediately snapped the back cover on, but I couldn't get the front cover to go on at all. I think it was broke. I don't know..and I really don't care because the silver stars were peeling off of the cover!! It looked terrible! I would have sent it back anyway. So...I think I'm going to exchange it for a rubberized black case, because I HATE those tacky little peeling stars. I could have put stickers on it and it would have looked better than that! It made me mad that it was such a piece of trash. Plus, it took it 10 days to get here from California. I bet it'll be a month before I get the other one!!
Enough ranting.... I guess I should go find something to do.

Big BANG!!
I went for a jog in the morning outside. It was a nice day for running. I wore my old shoes. The laps I've been doing are 7/10ths of a mile. Today I went 5 laps, which equals about 3.5 miles and then I walked one more lap.
Today was the day we got our washer and dryer delivered. At first I was a little upset because they never called to confirm at all and we couldn't get a hold of anyone with answers at Best Buy.
But finally the delivery guys called us and everything was good!
Right before they got here Jesse....in a brilliant moment...decided to try the power cord to make sure it fit. He just barely touched the prongs to the outlet and I heard a BIG BANG!! I saw a BIG FLASH of light (Jesse called it a fire ball) He was in the laundry closet area and I was standing in the kitchen. So I didn't know what he was doing.
I freaked out immediately and asked him if he was ok. He said "Yeah" as he stared down at his arm. He has this red swollen area on his forearm where all the hairs got burnt off. I'm not sure why he didn't go turn off the electric before he did that. He wasn't thinking. This is why I'm glad I have life insurance on the guy.
The Best Buy guys said they couldn't attach the power cord since we didn't buy it from them. And after the electrical burn....Jesse wasn't about to even touch that power cord and I don't blame him. So he called Jeremy and I think he's going to come over tomorrow to hook it up. Sheeesh. Another day without doing laundry.
I decided that I am going to send my new shoes back to Zappo's and get a refund. I'm not happy with them at all. I've decided to stick with Adidas. I've almost always ran in Adidas and I've always been happy with them. They seem to last a long time too.
I just finished watching So You Think You Can Dance!! I really love that show. Tonight I'm nervous that my favorite couple (Joshua and Katie) will be in the bottom 3! They had to do the Viennese Waltz and a Bollywood routine. The Bollywood thing was really good, but I just don't know if people will vote for it. Its like an cultural Indian dance. We'll see tomorrow!

We'll see tomorrow!

back 2 work
Today I made it to Cracker Barrel and I had a good day. I didn't have too crappy of a section...but I had to do portions. Yuk!
After work Jesse and I went to the pool again....It was so nice that I fell asleep out there! The weather was beautiful today!
After that I ran on the treadmill..you know, the same ol' crap.
For dinner we had taco salad...and then I watched So I Think You Can Dance. I'm a huge fan of Joshua. He's really good.

so...hot....
Today was a sweltering 94 degrees here in Winston. It was a good day for me and Jesse to go to the pool. I didn't wear any sunscreen (except for my face where I ALWAYS wear sunscreen) and I didn't get burned at all. I've been trying to gradually work up a tan and its worked well so far. I only got a little burned that one day.
I went to Cracker Barrel today. It was actually a good day ( I say day, but it was really just around 4 hours) that was busy and went by quickly. I was in the smoking section and I made some pretty good tips. I busted out over 50 bucks.
After work...went to the pool and worked out... which is quickly becoming our usual routine. I did level 1 and level 2 of my Jillian Michael's DVD and it still kicks my butt.
Jesse grilled chicken for dinner. He makes the absolute best grilled chicken that I've ever eaten!! It was so good.
Of course I watched So You Think You Can Dance...and they picked the top 20 tonight. I'm looking forward to next week when they start the real competition.
Tomorrow I'm going to a middle school that's only a 5 minute drive (as a matter of fact, I can almost see it out my window) and I'm going to be subbing for a Learning Disabled teacher...she's not LD, but... she teaches LD students...you know what I mean! It shouldn't be too bad because shes always in another teachers classroom. Which should mean that I'll mostly stand around and do nothing.... the hardest part of my day will hopefully be finding the correct classroom!
Well...gotta go blow dry my hair.

Another day...more biscuits and gravy
I felt better today. Still kinda icky, but better.
Cracker Barrel was absolutely awful today. In 2 hours I had only made $5.50!! At least I was training, so I make a little more per hour. I only waited on 12 people all day... I made 21 dollars in 3 and a half hours.
After work Jesse and I went to the library. I had a couple of James Patterson books and a Jillian Michael's work-out DVD to pick up. I needed to have a book to read for my sub job tomorrow. Then we had to go to Wal-Mart so that we actually had food to eat.
I ran on the treadmill for 5 miles...took a shower...and then Jesse made us some taco salads. They were delish! Since dinner I have been sitting at the kitchen table watching So You Think You Can Dance and playing on the Internet....and here I am now.
I'm sure I'll be writing tomorrow about my day of subbing. It feels like forever since I've been a substitute. The other night when we went to Texas Roadhouse our hostess looked at me and said, "You were a substitute at Reagan the other day, weren't you?" and I said, "Yes I was." and she said, "You were in one of my classes" Pretty funny!
