Jesse's last weekend of unemployment (at least for awhile...hopefully!)

Poor Jesse. His last weekend of unemployment and he spends all Friday and most of Saturday feeling like poo. I don't know what was wrong with him, but he threw up on Friday at least 4 or 5 times (One was a "good one," he said! hahaha) He slept a lot.

On Friday morning, I stayed in bed and read ALL day. From the time I woke up until 1 pm I only left the bed to pee. Then I got up, made me a protein shake, and got back into bed...and read until 4:30!! Can you believe that? It was awesome. hahaha..... My book was really good and I just couldn't stop until I was done! I was reading Paper Towns by John Green. Which in typical John Green fashion..was hilarious! I laughed until I had tears flowing down at one point...Jesse asked me what happened that was so funny and when I told him..he even laughed a little. There was a lot of suspense in this book and thats why I spent all day reading it!! I couldn't stop.

Friday night, we were supposed to go over to Brian & Jessica's house for pizza and a movie...but, of course, that would have been awkward what with Jesse sleeping and running to their bathroom every couple hours. haha. So, we stayed home.

I was really bored while Jesse was snoozing so..I went to Kroger. They had chicken breasts on sale for $1.79 a pound. So I bought about 6 packages. I also had to go to the post office. That was the extent of my Friday evening.

On Saturday morning we went to April Dawn Park in Milton for Amiya's 5th birthday party. Normally I'd have pictures to post, but when I got there I realized that the memory card was still at home. booooooo! This pic is a random shot of the park that I found on the internet.

The kids (not the ones in the photo, but my nephews and neices) had a lot of fun. They have water fountains there that come up from the concrete. Mary brought water balloons too...and Braylan tossed one at some other child standing behind me. Of course, she missed....and who do you think she hit? Why ME, of course! haha. It wasn't bad, I just got drenched on one side of my tank top and shorts. The sun was so hot that it dried really quick. Braylan walked over to me (after Jesse said something to her) with a towel for me to dry off with. :) She looked really sorry.

After that Jesse and I went to Sheetz in Milton. His sister, Sarah, gave us some coupons for free stuff! So I got me a free coffee drink! It was tasty, too. It was supposed to be almost 5 bucks, but....no, mine was free! I got soymilk this time and you can't tell the difference. Later, at home, I looked up Sheetz' nutrition info. online and found out that its aLoT less calories if you get the soymilk because they don't put in this stuff called CREAM BASE in the drinks made with soy. The skim, 2%, and whole milk drinks have CREAM BASE added...which adds 180 calories!! YIKES! Here's a link to their nutrition stats. http://www.sheetz.com/main/food/nutrition.cfm

When I got home I layed out on my back deck and read my newest book, Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. Its really really good so far. I find it incredibly interesting.

After reading I did a Jillian Michaels DVD and then got ready for my cousin Danielle's wedding. It was at 8 pm in her parents back yard. It was really pretty!! They had bright pink lanterns hanging from the trees and their backyard was full of flowers and all decorated so nicely. The food was good and the cake was beautiful and tasty too (mine was cinnamon toast cake! YUM!) We didn't really talk to many people..just my mom and dad mostly. I'm sure a lot of people stayed and partied all night, but we left around 10.

ok... I know I just posted, but I wanted to make this post separate for emphasis!

Jesse got a job!

Maybe some of you already knew this...because he actually got called while we were in Massanutten. But I wanted to wait and let him tell people and stuff before I just posted it out for all the world to see.

He's going to be a Personal Banker for Chase in Barboursville starting next week! I'm really happy! I'm glad for him too because it was getting to be ridiculous that he couldn't find a job. We are both really excited. Its crazy that we both are starting new jobs in August!

I <3 Summer!

Today I'm just hanging out. I don't have any real plans. I can do whatever I want....or NOT do anything at all. This is why I <3 Summer!

Yesterday Cassie came to our house for a visit. We went to the Valley Park and ran/walked around the trails. Then we went back to my house and we did half of a Jillian Michaels DVD. After that we went to Winfield to Brian and Jessica's house. AND....we laid out in the sunshine and jumped in the pool when we got hot. It was REALLY hot yesterday!!

Cassie left a little after that...and I cooked PIZZA for dinner. It was good as usual, but I forgot to toss some wheat germ or corn meal down on the pan and the crust stuck to the bottom a little. Then we went to Kroger because they had chicken and cheese on sale...so we stocked up. We also bought 6 Pepsi 2-liters cause they have a sale on those too. They ended up being 84 cents each.

I'm not sure why but I stayed up late last night. I was looking at teaching materials for next year. I think I finially went to bed around 1:40 am.

This morning I woke up when a lady from Marshall Grad. College called me at 9 am. After that I couldn't really sleep, but Kitsy came in the bed and cuddled with me...so I stayed for a little while. When she got up, I made breakfast. We had turkey sausage and vanilla protein whole wheat pancakes...and I swear, they are delicious!!

Now I'm going to go find some way to spend my day!

i <3 saturday

Jesse woke up early this morning and worked out with Ty. Then they wen't to the WSAZ Wrestling tournament.

I made him an omelet and turkey bacon and I made wheat &oat pancakes for me (not as good as Bob Evan's, but tasty w/ peanut butter, yum!) I drank my coffee, relaxed, and read the February edition of Better Homes & Gardens.

After that I started cleaning up the house and doing a little organization.

I did a workout DVD and now I'm watching Wall-E. Its really cute.

After this goes off I'm going to take a shower and go to Walmart and a couple other stops.

ok, movies almost over... gotta go.

I have the best kitty ever!

When Kitsy is thirsty she just jumps right up on the bathroom counter and I turn the faucet on..and she laps it up. She rarely drinks water from her bowl. I know, shes spoiled rotten!

This morning it was all rainy and even thunderstorming a bit outside. My house was a little cool and my bed was so warm! Needless to say...it was an enjoyable morning of laying in my bed cuddling with my Kitsy. Normally Jesse would be there with us too....but today was his one Saturday a month to work. So he left us around 8:30.

I didn't get up until around 10:15. I ate some breakfast and drank some coffee. I had to unload the dishwasher so I could get rid of all the dirty ones in my sink...just so I would have room to clean out my coffee pot. After that I did my old favorite workout video (Self: Sculpt Sexy Legs Fast) and then I showered and tried to make myself pretty.

Jesse got home around 1:30 and then we went to Walmart. I got 2 tacos from TacoBell on the way home....and ever since then I've been messin' around on the internet. My butt is sore cause I've been sitting on it all day! :( Jesse is over at Ty's house watching football and I'm actually kinda bored.

I think I'm gonna go find something to eat for dinner.

3rd days the charm!

So today... I didn't substitute but I did work at Cracker Barrel from 5 to 8. It was a pretty decent night even though I rolled 2 pans of silver, was on middle Delfield and the "front round," as we like to call it. I made close to 40 dollars. (I rolled 2 pans as opposed to the typical 1 pan, because another girl's fake fingernail ripped off taking with it her real fingernail...which made it very hard for her to roll silver. So I was nice and made a deal with her, she racked it all...and I rolled it all)

While I was there I had my phone calls forwarded to Jesse's phone in case I got called for a sub job for tomorrow.

So... when I got out of Cracker Barrel I had a text message from Jesse that said "Got you a job for tomorrow" So I called him and I will be subbing for an Art teacher tomorrow! Yippee!! It made me sing, "Goodie Goodie Gumdrops, My heart is doing flip flops!"

So... tomorrow night I'm sure you will get the pleasure of learning about my first day subbing the great state of WV.

doing nothing...still busy

Lately I haven't been working (because I'm waiting for Putnam Co. to get me set up in their substitute teacher system!) but I still feel like I've been very busy. Its funny but I find more time to blog when I'm working.

So...this week has been fun! I enjoy not working..hahaha.

On Monday... which was Labor Day... We all (Jesse's family) went to Jesse's Mom's house in Charleston..... We had a cook-out and swam in the pool. A bunch of them (not me) took rides on John's 6-wheeler out in the woods. It was a good time.

After that...we all came back to Teays Valley and the boys played baseball at the Valley Park. While that was going on some of the ladies took Luke (Mike & Alyson's dog) over to the Wave Pool for the Annual Dog Swim. It was CRAZY over there! I never would have imagined that SOOOOOO many people would bring their dog to swim in a pool. It was so crowded...there were dogs jumping over the edge....fetching floaty toys...crapping in the shallow end!...it was insane. You couldn't have paid me to get in that water.

On Tuesday.... Jesse and I went to the library and then we hung out with his Mom who was babysitting Caylan at Sarah & Jay's house. On Tuesday night I made (a healthier version of)Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Casserole and a delicious salad. It was all so good, in fact, that we decided to have leftovers on Wednesday night too.

On Wednesday I decided that I wanted to drive to Marshall so I could use their computers. I needed a web publishing program and access to my V-drive. I want to make a website for my new Mural Painting business that I'm calling "Murals By Erin" (Even though its against the acceptable use policy at Marshall to host a business website on their server, Ooops!....its only temporary... I'm going to buy a domain name eventually)

Well, I made a website and it looks really REALLY good ( I think) but when I got home and tried to pull it up the links don't work.

Big BANG!!

I went for a jog in the morning outside. It was a nice day for running. I wore my old shoes. The laps I've been doing are 7/10ths of a mile. Today I went 5 laps, which equals about 3.5 miles and then I walked one more lap.

Today was the day we got our washer and dryer delivered. At first I was a little upset because they never called to confirm at all and we couldn't get a hold of anyone with answers at Best Buy.

But finally the delivery guys called us and everything was good!

Right before they got here Jesse....in a brilliant moment...decided to try the power cord to make sure it fit. He just barely touched the prongs to the outlet and I heard a BIG BANG!! I saw a BIG FLASH of light (Jesse called it a fire ball) He was in the laundry closet area and I was standing in the kitchen. So I didn't know what he was doing.

I freaked out immediately and asked him if he was ok. He said "Yeah" as he stared down at his arm. He has this red swollen area on his forearm where all the hairs got burnt off. I'm not sure why he didn't go turn off the electric before he did that. He wasn't thinking. This is why I'm glad I have life insurance on the guy.

The Best Buy guys said they couldn't attach the power cord since we didn't buy it from them. And after the electrical burn....Jesse wasn't about to even touch that power cord and I don't blame him. So he called Jeremy and I think he's going to come over tomorrow to hook it up. Sheeesh. Another day without doing laundry.

I decided that I am going to send my new shoes back to Zappo's and get a refund. I'm not happy with them at all. I've decided to stick with Adidas. I've almost always ran in Adidas and I've always been happy with them. They seem to last a long time too.

I just finished watching So You Think You Can Dance!! I really love that show. Tonight I'm nervous that my favorite couple (Joshua and Katie) will be in the bottom 3! They had to do the Viennese Waltz and a Bollywood routine. The Bollywood thing was really good, but I just don't know if people will vote for it. Its like an cultural Indian dance. We'll see tomorrow!

pretty much done

Well, I think I'm now pretty much done with unpacking. Now I just need to organize my closets. I worked on my closet today. I wanted to do Jesse's closet too, but I didn't make it that far.





We borrowed my dad's old pickup truck and drove to South Charleston. We picked up a desk that Jesse bought for his new office.



Later we drove to A.C. Moore to buy some canvases. I'm going to paint them for Jesse's office. I'm really excited to have an art project!!



Tomorrow is the 4th of July....and I think its going to rain. We may have a cook-out during the day, but its supposed to rain later on I think. We'll see. I'm kinda bummed about the cookout thing...cause I don't feel like I should be eating fatty hamburgers and definately NOT hotdogs (even though I'd love me a Hebrew National hotdog!! yummmm!) Maybe I'll JUST eat one hotdog and nothing else. Or.... maybe I'll grill me a chicken breast. Thats what I should do.


well...this computer's battery is about to die. So I guess that means I should sign out.

booo...rainy day

Today we woke up pretty early...the neighbors were slightly loud! Then we went over to the fitness center where I got on an eliptical machine for 20 minutes. When I got off my legs felt like jell-o.





There was only one treadmill and some old lady was on it. The other 2 were out of order.





After this...it was looking a little cloudy...but it appeared to be clearing a little. So we decided to head over to the beach anyway. As soon as we got there Jesse and I spread out our blanket and went on a walk. We had walked around 10 minutes maybe when we decided to turn around.





Right then....the sky starting spitting a little rain on us. It wasn't bad. The weather was a little cool, but the ocean was FREEZING!! We kept running to stay out of the waves. When we made it back to our blanket, we sat for a few minutes...and then we heard THUNDER!! Dark clouds rolled through and we rolled outta there!





That was around 12:30. Since then we've been sitting around the "villa". Jesse's taking a little snooze.

Isn't that a rockin' couch? This place is totally "Golden Girls"

beach tomorrow!!!

Yay! I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow. As I type now I am sitting in my living room with Jesse and my mom and dad and we are watching the Women's gymnastics Olympic Trials. These girls are good!





Earlier we ate at Monte De Rey and then we went to McDonald's and got dessert. I got a vanilla cone! YUM!





Kitsy is so sweet and laying right beside me! I'm really gonna miss her this week!





I was told the other day by Jesse's brother (Hi Mike!) that he really enjoyed reading my blog lately...until he read about my vomit the other day! haha.. of course I laughed but I want to say that I'm sorry if I grossed anyone out. I hope Mike continues to read the blog..haha. From now on if I'm going to be nasty I'll (try to) warn you first.

Yesterday I worked literally nonstop packing and cleaning from the time my feet hit the floor around 9 am until 2 am when I went to bed. I was thankful today that I got all that stuff accomplished yesterday though. I was able to rest a bit today. Jesse and I went to the library and I picked up a few James Patterson books for the beach. Then we went to the Goodwill for old times sake.





Now its around 11 and my parents are getting ready for bed. Jesse and I will probably be up a little later....tomorrow we'll be up around 8 am and on the road by 9:30!! I can't wait... I think I'm mostly excited about going someplace different, someplace I've never been before.





Don't worry!.... Jesse's bringing his laptop so I should be able to blog a bit while we're there! Pray for us to have a safe trip tomorrow!

my long weekend... ;o)

I have been enjoying my long weekend. On Saturday I woke up early and worked out with my Self; Sculpt Sexy Legs Fast DVD. It kills me!!

Then.. Jesse and I went to the pool. It was, again, really really HOT!!

Saturday night I can't even remember what happened. Thats why I try to blog everyday..cause otherwise I can't remember. I know that I ran 5.75 miles that night on the treadmill.

Sunday was a long, kinda boring day. I made cabbage rolls in the slow cooker, which I liked a lot. I'm thinking that the next time I make it I may just make it a casserole or something.

We also went to the pool again. I did my Self DVD again...blah, blah.

The stupid NBA finals were on and I had absolutely NOTHING to do because I had finished reading my book, Honeymoon (by James Patterson) the night before. (It was really good....a little dirty and dark, but good)

but anyway..back to the basketball game. I really hate basketball...I wanted to blog, but Jesse was hogging "HIS" computer...which pissed me off. So I pouted and ended up taking a 2 hour nap from about 9:30 to 11:30pm. So If I'm not blogging as much as I used to... you know who to blame!

There were no sub jobs to be had for today... I guess because they only have 2 days left.

So.. I had a long weekend! Today I woke up and did my Jillian Michael's DVD (Level one and Level 2) Then we went to the pool. There was only one other lady there with us. It was actually quiet and relaxing. Usually there are brats screaming & splashing everywhere.

After the pool I took a shower and went shopping. I decided to try on some bikinis at Target. I was so happy trying them on!! I actually looked pretty good in a 'kini!! BUT...when I got home and showed Jesse he said it was too small and made me feel pretty crappy. :( So, I gotta take it back to Target soon.

Now... I guess I'm going to run on the treadmill a bit. I don't have anything else to do.

Tomorrow I gotta be at Cracker Barrel 9:30 to 2:30. BOOOO!

We now think Jesse may have viral meningitis. I am making him go to the doctor ASAP. So..pray for him please.
