can't wait til November!!

Today I had some yummy steel cut oats for breakfast while I worked on the menu for the week and a grocery list. Then I headed out to the library, Elder Beerman, Big Lots, WV Craft & Hobby, and then to Wal-Mart. I didn't make it back home until around 3:30.

After I got home and put the groceries away, I worked out. Today I ran for about 20 minutes and then I did a Jari Love DVD. I even added a little Kathy Smith stretch video at the end. I <3 that video!

Then it was time to cook dinner. I tried a new baked chicken breast recipe tonight. I thought it was awesome, but Jesse declared it was, "pretty good." It was called Curried Honey Mustard Chicken from www.allrecipes.com. I love curry! Its tasty and makes your house smell so good. It does stick on your clothes and hair though. I probably smell like a Indian Restaurant right now.

Then I got on facebook and saw the new Twilight Trailer. OH MA GOODNESS!! I cannot wait until this movie comes out. It really looks like its gonna be great! You can call me a dork if you want, but.... everytime I watch this trailer I get chill bumps!! I LOVE JACOB! I'm really looking forward to seeing him sans shirt for pretty much the entire movie. hahaha! I'm posting the trailer in the next post.

I'm so glad that I made it to the library today. Now I have five books to read. Tonight I'm gonna start reading Evermore by Alyson Noel. I hope its good!

out of books!!

Today has been a good day. I think I'll make it my typical Saturday ruitine! Except when school starts I may have to start doing a little housework on Saturdays, bleh!

Today I made myself a pancake...then I read a bit while drinking coffee. Kitsy came and stretched out on my lap...and it was very cozy. :)

Then I worked out. Today I did one of my old old videos (self;sculpt sexy legs fast) Then I changed into my swimsuit and layed on the back deck for over 2 hours. It was HOT and I was sweaty, but I love it. I LOVE the sun.

While I was out there I finished reading The Lucky One. It was pretty good. I think it will be a movie eventually. It would make a great movie actually. Now I don't have any more books to read!!!! I think the delivery guy at the library has been on vacation or soemthing because none of my new books on hold have arrived at the Putnam Library for a LOOOONG time. Then, all the sudden a few days ago three arrived on the same day.

I kinda don't know what to do without a book to read. I feel lost. I can't get to the library until monday. I think I'll go early!

I cooked dinner (taco salad) and then Jesse and I went for one of our long walks. All in all a great day!

Tomorrow, I'm going to church, of course...but after that I have to go to an Open House at WHS. I'm kinda nervous about starting teaching!! AHHH!! I'm excited, but nervous too! The other day my dad helped me carry in my mini fridge and my microwave to my classroom...and while we were there he saw one of the vice principals and she told him that he has a CLASSROOM this year! YAY!!! He has been traveling from classroom to classroom for the past 2 years. This will be SO much better for him. I'm so happy that he finally got a room!

I'll write about the Open House tomorrow!

a busy day of errands!

I knew last night that I had a lot to get done today.... I even took the time to sit down and make a to-do list. Usually when I do that... I get to about a half of the list. Today I got 'em all!

This morning I woke up and worked out... I did a Jari Love DVD called Get Ripped & Chiseled. Heres a video of here for you all to see what I sweat through every other day. :)

Then I made myself a vanilla protein pancake. I got ready and went to the Board Office to drop off my forms. I actually had to go in THREE different departments to drop off various paperwork. I practically gave myself a tour of the building!

I called Ms. Cole and found out where the longer cord that connects my PC to the projector was....and so I went to the high school to get the projector hooked up. I think I've got it now, but the longer cord is WAY too long and I've got cords going everywhere! :( I hate cords. I can't wait until the entire world is wireless!!

After that I went to the library, dropped off all my completed books, and got one new one. Nicholas Spark's book The Lucky One. Although, today I started reading another book...one I had never heard of, called The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti. So far its been pretty interesting, but I've only read like 3 chapters. I finished Peeps and it was a great book, except I thought the end seemed rushed...and not as well thought out as the rest of the book.

After the library I made myself a blackberry smoothie and spent about a half hour sitting and reading on the back deck. There wasn't much sun, though!

Then I cooked dinner...which I thought was AWESOME!! I made sloppy joe's...but these weren't your typical sloppy joe's..and there were no cans involved. I found the recipe on www.allrecipes.com and it was called Cabbage Sloppy Joes.

Mine were a little different though because I didn't use celery (Jesse hates the stuff) and I used ground turkey instead of beef to make them even healthier! I think I added some hot sauce and extra green pepper and seasonings, too. Oh, and I used Nature's Own White Wheat Buns. They are fairly healthy and very tasty. :) I whipped up a little homemade coleslaw to go with it too.

I normally am not that into sloppy joes, but these were GOOD! and I like that I can hide the cabbage in there and Jesse doesn't know how much veggies he's getting!!! hehehehe.

After dinner I vacuumed the whole couch (which is huge) I vacuumed the stairs and I vacuumed the entire upper floor. I even did the baseboards! haha... Then I did a load of laundry....OOPs...that just reminded me that I forgot to put them in the dryer!

I started watched So You Think You Can Dance and got distracted, I guess. I was glad that Jeanine won! YAY! Now, I just have a few weeks to wait before Season 6 begins!

beach tomorrow!!!

Yay! I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow. As I type now I am sitting in my living room with Jesse and my mom and dad and we are watching the Women's gymnastics Olympic Trials. These girls are good!

Earlier we ate at Monte De Rey and then we went to McDonald's and got dessert. I got a vanilla cone! YUM!

Kitsy is so sweet and laying right beside me! I'm really gonna miss her this week!

I was told the other day by Jesse's brother (Hi Mike!) that he really enjoyed reading my blog lately...until he read about my vomit the other day! haha.. of course I laughed but I want to say that I'm sorry if I grossed anyone out. I hope Mike continues to read the blog..haha. From now on if I'm going to be nasty I'll (try to) warn you first.

Yesterday I worked literally nonstop packing and cleaning from the time my feet hit the floor around 9 am until 2 am when I went to bed. I was thankful today that I got all that stuff accomplished yesterday though. I was able to rest a bit today. Jesse and I went to the library and I picked up a few James Patterson books for the beach. Then we went to the Goodwill for old times sake.

Now its around 11 and my parents are getting ready for bed. Jesse and I will probably be up a little later....tomorrow we'll be up around 8 am and on the road by 9:30!! I can't wait... I think I'm mostly excited about going someplace different, someplace I've never been before.

Don't worry!.... Jesse's bringing his laptop so I should be able to blog a bit while we're there! Pray for us to have a safe trip tomorrow!

Good Night!

can u believe this?

I've blogged every day this week!

Today may be short though....

I had another good day at Cracker Barrel. I worked 9 to 2:30 today and I trained Janice again. She basically does all the work and I just follow her around. And...shes scheduled to be training with me again on Friday! :) Today was kinda slow at the Barrel....but I think thats better for training anyway. I still made 52 dollars.

When I got home from work I ate some more chips and mexican dipping cheese...as a matter of fact I finished the container!

Then I did some aerobics from a Denise Austin DVD that I checked out of the library. I was mad because they were using a stretchy band and I didn't have one....so I gave up on that and ran 3 and a half miles on the treadmill.

Then I took a...very...long bath while reading a book that I got from the library. Its called, "The Fastest Way to Get Pregnant Naturally." NO.... That doesn't mean that I'm trying to get pregnant now. I just want to learn more about the topic so that I am prepared.

Then I straightened up the house... Jesse made oatmeal cookies.. and then I got on the computer to BLOG! :oP

siiiiigggghhh.............2 more days left in the week. I'm ready for a weekend already!

Country Roads...Take me Home

Jesse and I spent the weekend in WV. We weren't supposed to go back until next weekend..but thats a long story.

We drove home on Thursday night... It was around 8 when we got to my parents house.

On Friday morning we went to Cracker Barrel in Barboursville to pick up a couple of paychecks from December. We talked to people for a long time. Charles and Ruth were there and they wanted to chat our ears off. I was happy to see everyone there...Allison Roe, Kathy Smith, Carmen, Brenda, Chris, Jeff, Alan, even Becky! :)

Then we went to Taco Bell. I had a baja chalupa, I love those things. They probably have 500 calories. I'd check the website but I'm afraid.

Jesse bought a new laptop at the Huntington Circuit City while we were there too.

Then we went to visit with his dad in Ona.... after we drove by the old house. It looked just the same.

We hung out there for awhile, watched most of Apollo 13, then we went to Jeremy's house. After that.... we went back to Mom and Dad's.

On Saturday we went to Sarah and Jay's around 1:30pm. Almost all of Jesse's family were there and Brian and Jessica. Sarah and Jay just bought a bunch of new furniture and a 42" plasma TV from Big Sandy. Jeremy was there trying to mount the thing on the wall for them. We were there for over 5 hours and when we left Jeremy was still working on it.

After that....we went to Mike and Allison's house to play some ping pong. Well, the boys play ping pong. Jessica and I play old school nintendo. We couldn't beat the 7th world of Super Mario 3. It was pretty pathetic.

They turned out all the lights and turned on the strobe light and some dancin' music. It was pretty fun :) Hannah, Abagail and Emma had a blast. Emma kept saying, "Now THIS is how you spend a Saturday night!" hahaha.

On Sunday we went to church at Maranatha. Then we went to my parents house and had Mexican Lasagna and a really yummy salad. Jesse wasn't feeling good. We took a 2 hour nap. Since he wasn't feeling well we decided that I would call in to Cracker Barrel and just drive home on Monday. :o) Yay! 4 day weekend!

After our loooong nap we weren't sleepy. Jesse stayed up watching TV and I finished a whole Nicholas Sparks book (Dear John).

If anyone reading this likes Nicholas Sparks...and enjoys a good cry...you HAVE TO read that book. It was the best Nicholas Sparks book I ever read.... but you'll cry more than you did in The Notebook! I hope they make this one into a movie too!
Since I finished both of my books, I reserved a couple more today. I should be getting Nights in Rodanthe pretty soon. I also got on the list to get The Choice but its new and I am number 61 in the queue.
I also reserved the new Homer Hickom book, Red Helmet. I think its about a mine rescue...I should get it very soon too! :)
I LOVE MY LIBRARY!!

rainy day

Today nothing of any interest happened whatsoever.

I was in the smoking section... it was busy for about an hour. I made 41 dollars. I stopped at the Lewisville Library on my way home from work and picked up 2 of my books that I had put on reserve....they are both Nicholas Sparks books and I can't wait to take a bath and read 'em!

Yesterday night I cooked meatballs, green beans, mashed potatoes, and multi-grain french bread. So... tonight is LEFTOVERS! I just have to make some more green beans.

Tomorrow I'm gonna cook in my slow cooker I think.

you have to be "choking"..the smoking section AGAIN!

So from the title of this blog post I bet you can tell that I was in the smoking section again today. Yes, you aren't supposed to be in smoking more than once a week..but I didn't complain. I think its best to just keep your mouth shut. Unless you are truly getting dumped on. I don't want them to stick me back there every day just cause I don't complain though!!

Well... even though I did ok in smoking the other day...today was TERRIBLE! I only made 29 dollars from 9:30 to 2. Luckily I had everything done and I was outta there by 2:15! :)

Tonight Jesse and I had french toast for dinner. I had been craving it for awhile.

Then we watched Transformers, Jesse feel asleep.. While we.. I mean, I was watching my mom called and said that she got a new Toyota Carolla. They made a smart choice and went for the inexpense car...rather than the car she wanted which was a Mini Cooper.

After that Jesse and I watched the new Survivor. And if anyone reading this watched it tonight... I HAVE A THEORY!!!!!!! I think Johnny Fairplay really didn't want to do the show and I think the big wigs must have really wanted him to do it. They probably hooked him up with a good deal and promised him to be voted off in the 1st episode. I think the "Favorites" actually had to throw the challenge so that Fairplay could be voted off. I think it was alllllllll a set-up. If you read this and have anything to add.... please comment!

Now I just got on the
Forsyth County Library webpage and reserved some books to check out.... I put a couple Nicholas Sparks books on hold...and I also reserved a couple John Grisham books for Jesse. I love living in a place where the library is up to date!!! WVs libraries are archaic.

Today was a much nicer day weather-wise in the "Piedmont Triad" as they like to call Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem down here.

I went to Cracker Barrel at 8 am and when I got there I found out that I wasn't really supposed to be there until 8:30! I coulda slept longer!! haha... no big deal. I just did some of my sidework so that I could get outta there faster this afternoon. I had to portion up a whole can of Apple butter. The people down here sure love their apple butter.... and they really love their Texas Pete hot sauce. At first I was amazed how many people asked for it... and I told Jesse and he told me it was because Texas Pete was made in Winston-Salem!! Who woulda thought that TEXAS Pete would be made in North Carolina. Odd but true.

After work I decided to go to the library and get a library card. I drove to Lewisville's branch of the Forsyth County Library....and then I decided I wanted to just drive around and explore a little. So, I turned down Meadowlark Dr...onto Robinhood Rd... and looked around at some nice houses and businesses...then I turned around near Silas Creek Parkway...went back down Robinhood Rd. and turned onto Peacehaven to get back onto Country Club.

Now I'm thinking that I need a cup of coffee... so I'm gonna go make me some! I have been using whole bean Eight O'clock Coffee...its the cheapest that I have found in the vacuumed sealed whole bean variety and its really good!
