Thanks for all the concerned people responding to my overcrowded classroom situation. It hasn't been completely fixed, but for now the problem is under control. On Monday afternoon they created a new English 9 class. It took 5 kids out of my 4th block, leaving me with around 30. They also took 3 out of my 2nd block, leaving me with 33. It would be nice to get 2nd block down to 30, but its not that bad. There are a bunch of seniors in that class, so they are pretty well behaved and calm.
I have a kid in my 4th block that is driving me crazy and telling me that he loves me. He's one of the biggest smart-you-know-whats I've ever seen. There are a couple of crazies in there. Plus not very many of them can draw so it takes a lot of my attention to give independant help.
well...I gotta go bake a pizza now, but I'm sure I'll blog again soon. I miss it!!

FRUSTRATION!
I'm so frustrated with my blog right now. Its after 1 am and I'm still trying to figure out why the heck my sidebar is showing up at the bottom of my blog! On my blogger dashboard it says that the archive and my other sidebar stuff is in the right spot...but when it loads its coming up on the bottom.
I changed a bunch of stuff, trying to see if it was causing it to do that...but so far...no luck. Maybe its a blogger glitch or something. I dunno.
So I apologize for the weird blog layout. I'll get it fixed soon...i hope!

i got no 'cuse!!
No excuse, that is, for not blogging! AHHH! I don't know whats wrong with me lately, but blogging has NOT been a priority in my life. I haven't blogged since we were in Massanutten. I know you all are severely depressed without being able to read my rantings...so I'm gonna try to do better over the next few weeks.

I've got all the time in the world and I can't seem to find the time to write a little blog. I have been reading a lot still (more to come on that topic later)
I'm not sure what will happen with the blog when school starts. It may be that I'll be able to keep it up better because I'll be in a classroom with a computer during the day...or, I may be really really busy and not be able to find the time to devote to typing a few paragraphs a day.
In August I'll be starting work as an Art teacher at Winfield High School! I'm so excited to have this job! I love my summer, but I'm actually looking forward to it! :) I'm blessed. In August I am also going to start taking graduate classes at Marshall. ick. I'm NOT looking forward to that. But.... its being paid for by a scholarship so I can't really complain. :) again...blessed.
So, the blog may be taking a hiatus during the time that I'm in school, I'm not sure. We'll just have to wait and see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lately I've been working on getting some school stuff ready. I'd like to have a lot of stuff ready so I'm not as busy during the school year. I've been making some Power Point Presentations lately and working on my rules, procedures, etc.
I've also spent some time reading (of course). While at Massanutten I finished The Shack by William Paul Young. It was for sure interesting. It will make you think differently about God. I wouldn't recommend anyone to read it that wasn't secure in their beliefs about a Christian God. It could cause someone who doesn't know a lot about theology to be a little confused...but if you are a strong Christian, I recommend you read it....and don't stop reading when it gets a little weird (and trust me, it does). I loved it personally. It makes a lot of sense and it helped me understand the idea of "the trinity" better. Also, it makes you realize how amazing and wonderful God really is. It also emphasizes having a real relationship with God.
After The Shack I read the third book of the Uglies trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. Its called Specials and was very good, but that comes as no shock after reading and loving the first 2, right?! After this book there is another related book called Extras. I'm sure I'll be reading that one soon! I just checked out another of his book from the library (this one, not in the Uglies trilogy) Its called Peeps. It'll probably be my next book...maybe. I have a few good ones lined up!
Right now I'm reading another John Green novel (actually, its his first novel) called Looking for Alaska. I am really liking it right now because its funny and interesting....
Here is some info. about the book that I stole from the author's website, http://www.sparksflyup.com/ (which I <3,>
Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words--and tired of his safe life at
home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois
Rabelais called the "Great Perhaps." Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek,
including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up, and dead sexy, Alaska will
pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.
Looking for Alaska brilliantly chronicles the indelible impact
one life can have on another. A stunning debut, it marks John Green's arrival as
an important new voice in contemporary fiction.
new blogger template
I was SO sick of looking at that old template. I'm really excited that I found this one. It really suits me. It may be here for awhile.
I also added a little picture slideshow so all you out there can see what I look like now. Kitsy and Jesse are in a few of my pictures too... along with a couple of my neices.
Today was a lazy day. I woke up late...and just layed in bed. Jesse tried to watch Tropic Thunder but he said he couldn't finish it because it was so stupid.
I moped around the house. Played on the internet (thats when I changed my blogger stuff) and then decided to work out. I did a Jillian DVD from Netflix...and then I tried a Yoga video but it was beyond boring.
After a shower I headed to Walmart where the lines were 4 miles long. I almost read a whole issue of Shape while I was in line. Well, ok... I just skimmed it.
I just finished putting the groceries away and now I'm about to bake some cookies. Jesse called me from Ty's house and said he wanted some cookies. I haven't eaten that much today... so I'm all for it! So... gotta go find some recipes!
waiting.....just waiting.
So here I am.... just sitting around the house, trying to forget the fact that I am waiting to hear back about that teaching job. I was really hoping that I'd hear from them today, but NO.
Tommorow I hope!
I went to Cracker Barrel this morning....and it was decently busy. I made about 50 bucks from 11 to 4....and I got to leave right at 4 which is rare. My friend, Whitney, was there with me so I was happy! :)
When I got home I did the treadmill thing... 5 miles...and then I cooked dinner....chicken fajitas.
Now, I've just been sitting around.... I actually am starting another blog. (we'll see if it lasts) Its about running and eating right and all that crap. Its called Triumph over the Treadmill.
I'm so happy right now...because I don't have to work tomorrow! YAY! Ive decided that if I find out that I get the job.....I am going SHOPPING tomorrow!!
have I given up on the blog?
Jesse looked at me tonight and said..."I guess you've given up on the blog?" and I said "No, there's just not a lot going on right now"
So I haven't been writing a lot lately..... but really I've just been going to Cracker Barrel, coming home, exercising with Jessica, running, making dinner, and then going to bed.
Last night, though, Jesse and I went to his sister Sarah's house. His grandfather had a heart attack this weekend so a lot of his family was in...some from out of state. So they all got together last night at Sarah's. We hung out for awhile on Sarah and Jay's back deck.
After that I came home and watched So You Think You Can Dance. I was very happy with Joshua's performances! and then tonight on the results show...he made it on to the FINALE next week!
Tomorrow I have to work from 9 to 3 and I'm kinda depressed that I have to wake up that early! Someone asked me if I could come in earlier..at 7 am! I said, "Don't think I can do that" 7 am is WAY too early, that would mean I'd have to leave here at 6:30!
I guess I better go to bed now.
