crazy sub day yesterday

So... I actually missed a day of blogging yesterday. I was very busy all day long.

I went to Northwest Middle School to sub for a science teacher. When I got there..one look around the room told me that the teacher was a SLOB. There were piles of unorganzed paper laying on her desk, on the counters, on tables, and even on the floor. I looked everywhere for sub plans with no luck. So I went over to the teacher next door (since it was middle school the teachers are on teams) who was my teacher's teammate. She looked around and didn't find anything either. So, she tried to call the teacher with no luck. So.. she said the VP would be down to help me (the room was in the basement) Then she came back to tell me that the VP wasn't coming.

So what did I do????
Another 8th grade teacher send me an assignment. She told me to have the students write a story about "Timmy the Chromatin" who is about to undergo mitosis. Sounds ok, right? Well I thought so until the 1st group of students had no idea what mitosis or chromatin even was!! I got out their text books and there was nothing about mitosis even in there!! So I wrote a note to that other 8th grade science teacher and asked if she could send down some texts with Mitosis info in them. She did, so the 2nd group of students did much better.

When I got home from school Jesse and I went to the pool for a little while. It was REALLY hot and the sun felt like it was blazing, but the pool water was kinda cold.

Jesse spent the whole day yesterday helping Lester pack all his stuff into a moving truck. Lester was just pulling out of the parking lot when I got home from school around 2:30. So the Conn's are gone now.

Jesse is so depressed that Lester is gone. He lost his sports buddy. He's been moping around since he left.

Anyway...last night I worked out. I ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill and then did Level 2 of my Jillian Michael's DVD. Afterwards, we had dinner and then Jesse and I went to Walmart. I can't remember what time we got home, but by the time I was finished with shopping and putting the groceries away I WAS DOG TIRED!! So I went straight to bed while Jesse watched the Stanley Cup Finals.
Today wasnt as interesting.....I went to the Barrel....came home....worked out (level 1 & 3 of Jillian)...cooked dinner...and thats all.

feel like a pig

Kitsy missed us this weekend. Since we've been back she's been sleeping on our suitcase. I think shes trying to keep us from leaving again!

I went to Cracker Barrel this morning and it was a pretty good day. I stayed busy and the day went by fairly quickly.

On the way home from Cracker Barrel I called Jesse and he told me that we were gonna eat dinner with Holli and Lester at Texas Roadhouse. Holli got some free coupons for appetizers...so we got a cactus blossom onion thingie and cheese fries. They were HUGE! I tried not to eat too much...but it was hard. Jesse and I got a combo platter with a sirloin and BBQ chicken. I didn't even eat a roll. I was still stuffed when I left there.

Then we went to Old Navy and I got the bathing suit cover-up that I had been wanting....except they didn't have the color that I wanted...BUT, I got it on sale. I was going to pay 25 dollars for it, but I only ended up paying 9 dollars. Jesse also got a pair of swimming trunks which are really cute. (see pic below)

During the day today...Holli, Lester and Jesse went over to the apartment's pool. Holli got sunburned. Lester didn't because he put on SPF 50, but Jesse got freakin' burned alive. He is so red!

He searched on the Internet for home cures for sunburns...and later I saw him spray his body with vinegar, hold a bag of frozen strawberries on his chest, and then rub mustard all over himself! I told him that he looked like a gigantic hot dog...and the smell was putrid. He even went upstairs to Holli and Lester's topless with the mustard all over him. Mixed with his red skin, the yellow mustard made Jesse look an Oompa Loompa!!

After gorging myself ...I did run a little on the treadmill...I did 4 miles even though I felt like throwing up.

After that we went upstairs (with the mustard still on his chest, neck and arms) and played Scattergories with the Conn's. It was fun, but I was not very good at that game.

soooo looooong

Today I went to West Forsyth High School...I taught biology and earth science. It was a good day and very easy, but it felt like it drug on and on forever!

When I finally got home I got on the treadmill and watched some episodes of How I Met Your Mother. Then I took a shower...ate leftovers...Holli & Lester came over to see who got booted from Idol (Yay!, it was Jason!!)....It was really a boring day.

But now...I'm drinking a smoothie and life is good. :)

I have to go to Cracker Barrel tomorrow...boooooooo!

Happy Birthday Lester/Happy Cinco de Mayo

Today was a good day. I went to Jefferson Middle School and it was a very unique experience. I had homeroom from 7 to 7:25 am. Then students went to Block One. Block 1 lasted from 7:30 until 9:25. I taught the students Math and Science during that time. From 9:30 to 11:12 I had 2nd Block. From 11:15 to 11:38 I had to take the students to lunch. Then the same students from Block 2 came back to the classroom where we finished up Block 2, also Math and Science.

The students were pretty good. They were all good kids but some of them were loud mouths. The were friendly and asked me to sit and eat lunch with them. I felt like one of them eating my pudding out of a lunch box. I had a fruit roll-up (the kind with tongue tatoos printed on them) and when I opened it one of the girls says, "You should put the tatoos on your tongue!" So I did! haha... It was fun!

The kids in Block two left the classroom at 12:18 to go to their related arts classes, so I had planning for the entire rest of the day. I went to the office to see if they needed any coverage for the rest of the day. but they didn't. So I got to leave at 12:30. It felt really good to get paid for a whole day and be done at 12:30!!

After school Jesse and I went to Wal-Mart. Then I did some kind of "Crunch" fitness video from Netflix that you can watch instantly on your laptop. It was pretty cool. Jesse even hooked it up so the video was shown on our TV! After that (it wasnt such a great workout) I ran/walked 3 miles on the treadmill.

My sunburn hurts a little today.

After dinner Holli and Lester came down and we pulled a birthday cake out of the fridge! SURPRISE! Today was his 30th birthday! We had cake and ice cream and played monopoly until 10:30.

Now I'm really sleepy and I think its time for bed...even though I have yet to find a job for tomorrow. I was going to go to a music job at Meadowlark Elementary School tomorrow. It had special instructions and it said to call in to hear them. So, I did...and the special instructions were to report to Piney Grove Elementary School, which is all the way across the city in Kernersville. So, I declined the job.........now I'm still looking for another

just watched 27 Dresses...

and it was really cute. I liked it a lot.

Holli and Lester just left a few minutes ago. They brought Blackberry Cobbler and ice cream....yummmm!

Today I worked at Cracker Barrel. When I got there it was really strange because I saw my name on the floorplan, but when I tried to clock in, the computer system said that I wasn't scheduled. What the heck? haha... I think they suspected that I might call in again, or just never come back!! hahaha....... I was in the smoking section too. They must love me. (<---sarcasm)Then when next week's schedules came out, I was only scheduled 2 days!

oh well, I'll just get to sub more! YAY!! I love subbing! I get paid to sit and read books and magazines. :)

I ran on the treadmill today. I walked a half mile..and then I ran (at 6.0 mph) for 3.5 miles straight w/o stopping!! yay! I think that's my new record. I don't ever remember running that much before. I think it took me about 43 minutes to go 4 miles. That's an average of 5.58 mph.

OK, so I know that everyone may not be interested in my exercise routine and stuff...but I like to keep a record of it..and seriously, I consider my blog to be a diary of my life anywho. So really...its all for me. I just let you read it.

1st time subbing @ a middle school

Today I subbed at a local middle school...and like I said yesterday I had to be there at 7 am! Well, I got there...its a really nice school..and I was in the computer lab. When I tried to unlock the door, someone opened it from inside. It was the teacher! She was sitting in a dark classroom so her students wouldn't bug her. haha..

She was taking 8 eighth graders to a soup kitchen for a field trip. We talked a little and then she asks me if I was the sub that was coming tomorrow, too because she was taking a few 7th graders on a field trip tomorrow.

I was like, "no" I only saw one day. She looks it up on her computer and it says that I AM the sub for tomorrow. I pulled up my info from the substitute website and I didn't see anything about subbing tomorrow....and I was supposed to work at Cracker Barrel!

Then I noticed... really really small... it said 4/29/2008 at 7:00 AM until 4/30/2008 at 2:15 PM (A)

and well, I just didn't notice that it said 4/29 and 4/30! So.. I felt bad, but I had to call in to Cracker Barrel. That means tomorrow I will have to wake up before 6 am once again!

It was really nice getting home at 2! :) After school I took a short nap w/ Jesse and then I did my yoga video.

I made enchiladas for dinner...and then we watched American Idol with the Conn's. I have to mention that it was quite possibly the most boring episode of American Idol EVER! Whats up with the old fogey's crap they've been doin' lately?? Neil Diamond, the Beatle's, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dolly Parton, BLAH!

now... I gotta get to bed 5:45 comes early.

dont feel like blogging

Today was kinda boring.

Jesse still feels bad..but he is feeling better he says. He still hasn't gone to see a doctor. He's stubborn.

I went to church w/ Holli and Lester. Jesse was too sick.

Before church I put 2 cornish hens in the crock pot...and after church we ate them! And they were really good!

I messed around a little while...and then went to Kohl's & Target.

When I got home I ran 2 miles on the treadmill...it onlu took 18 minutes! :)

Now... I've gotta pack up my lunch for tomorrow. I am subbing at North Forsyth.

ok....done

I survived my 2nd day as a "sub"

Wow... today has been a roller coaster!

I woke up around 7:15 am and got ready for school. Luckily West Forsyth is seriously a 5 minute drive from here so I didn't have to wake up too early. Plus, the teacher report time is 8:30! When I was doing my student teaching at Huntington High School I had to be there at 7:20 am!!!

Anyway, the day went very well.... as you would expect with 11th and 12th graders in AP English. There was a kid named Jesse Crouch in one of my classes today.. weird, huh?

Again.. everything was great and I made it home a tad bit before 4pm, so I was happy.....

but... I also kept thinking about the job that I had picked for tomorrow at Carver High School. It was Home Ec. and I know it would have been pretty easy. My only issue was how I was going to get there.

I've never claimed to be a good driver. As a matter of fact, I practically hate driving. I especially hate driving somewhere when I'm not at least 85% sure of where I'm going... ok, maybe closer to 90%...hehe.. I just get soooo nervous, anxious, stressed, tense, even scared.

And.. I'm definitely NOT a city girl. (well, maybe I could be a big city girl where you just walk places or call a cab..but anyway) I'm not a drive all over the city girl...and I'm not a Winston-Salem girl. I'm not even a suburb girl.

When I got home from West Forsyth today.. I was SO stressed out about the drive that I was in tears. Jesse had said that he wasn't going to drive me there to show me how to get there because I needed to learn how to navigate on my own.. plus with gas at $3.40 a gallon, its a waste of money to do that for every sub job I get. But... THANKFULLY Jesse saw how upset I was and decided to have me drive there this afternoon so I could calm down.

We started out just fine... but I had to drive right through downtown with cars coming at me from everywhere...and I kept having to merge, keep left, keep right, blah, blah, blah.... and after a little while I found myself saying, "I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN!" And of course I could feel my blood pressure rising.

Then, we got to the school and it was pretty much in the ghetto. I pulled into the driveway and everyone was looking at us like, "Whats up with the white people?" haha... I'm not racist. I knew when I took that job that the school was about 75% black, but that just made me feel weird. I really feel sorry for black people that feel that way around a bunch of white people. Maybe over time you just get used to it. Unfortunately, I'm just not used to that back in WV, ya know?

Anyway... it was right after that when I told Jesse that I wouldn't be coming back there. I cried cause I felt bad for reneging on something I had promised to do..but I got over it.

So, we went home and I cancelled the job...and I felt 1000 times better. I just did NOT want to drive there. Those 15 miles felt like a million!

So I took at job at a local elementary school tomorrow instead. I already know how to get there. ;) Its about 10 minutes away down a quiet back road..hahaha. I know, I'm a baby.

After our excursion I got on the treadmill and walked a quarter mile, then ran 3.28 miles w/o stopping once. (that's 5.88 mph on average) I could have ran even further, but it was 7:15 pm and Jesse and I needed to reheat our leftovers for dinner and shower before going upstairs to watch American Idol w/ Holli and Lester. Its a weekly tradition now.

Speaking of Idol... I was only slightly impressed with the 2 Davids tonight. (granted I missed Kristy Lee Cook because of The Biggest Loser Finale, but of the ones I heard...)

Speaking of the Biggest Loser.. way to go Ally!!! She was the 1st female biggest loser and she REALLY deserved it! She looks amazing!

Time for bed now... I'm beat.

life is good :o)

Today was actually a good day at Cracker Barrel even though I had to wake up really early! :) I found out that I am training Bronwyn again tomorrow and that makes me happy! And we got outta there a tad bit early.

After work I went to the Goodwill and bought a bunch of stuff.....a silicone muffin pan with cups shaped like hearts, two kitty cat food dishes, a t-shirt, yarn, and a wood peg board that I will eventually paint. It was a good trip! :) I wanted to buy a cool spice rack and paint it but...it was 6 dollars...haha..

Tonight a bunch of people that work with Lester and Jesse are coming here. We are having a little cook out so I gotta go get ready for that in a few minutes.

I ran on the treadmill earlier... I'm proud of myself.. I ran 5 miles in 55 minutes. So my average speed today was 5.46 mph.

I gotta run... maybe I'll write more later

bad mood today

I've been cranky today for no good reason. I'm going to try to be nice for the rest of the evening!

I was in the smoking section at Cracker Barrel today... for about 40 minutes. Then I got moved to the middle dining room and I was SO glad.

I wanted to go for a walk/jog with Jesse when I got home cause it was so pretty and nice today. Well... he decided that we should find a different trail. So we drove around to 2 different parks but neither were as nice as the one we usually use. So, we left them and went over to our normal place. Jesse shot his basketball a little..but by that point I had lost my energy and I had to pee. There was a porta-potty over there but it was NASTY & I wasn't about to go in there. Yuck.

So we came home and cleaned out the fridge...loaded the dishwasher...swept the floor....and then cooked dinner.

We had seared salmon with a balsamic vinegar reduction sauce with pasta salad in a balsamic basil vinaigrette. I had some corn and Jesse had a baked potato. I know...too many starches, but we haven't been to Wal-mart in 3 weeks... I have been trying to use what we have and clean out the fridge, freezer, and the pantry this week. I was going to make some frozen broccoli but when I thawed it there were only 4 florets left.... I hate how they give you all stalks. So I had to use the veggies that I had.

I have friday off this week and I'm really glad. I hate working 5 days straight..I know, I'm spoiled. But Jesse and I desperately need to go to Wal-mart and we'll probably drive to the Mocksville Wal-mart on Friday.

In just a few minutes Jesse and I will be going upstairs to watch American Idol w/ Holli & Lester. I still haven't had a shower and my hair probably smells like Cracker Barrel's fireplace..so I'm going to go spray some body spray on it. :) I can't miss American Idol for a shower!!

goin' 4 a 3-pete!

Today was another good day.

First I woke up at 6 am and put my corned beef brisket in the crock pot. By 6:05 I was back in the bed. I had to be at work at 10.

I had a really busy day at Cracker Barrel. I had the whole smoking section to myself and I was training that lady, Janice, again. I'm glad she was there to help me because at one time I had 10 tables back there.

After work Jesse and I went to the library and I picked up some books. When we got home I finished up dinner.... boiled potatoes, carrots, onions, and cabbage...put a glaze on the corned beef, and baked a loaf of irish soda bread. The bread was really good. I used a recipe from www.allrecipes.com for it.

After dinner Jesse and I watched Dan In Real Life. Its a really sweet movie..I really liked it!

Then we went upstairs to Holli & Lester's to watch American Idol. I'm hoping that Ramielle goes home this time! But she always seems to do ok....so it will probably be Christy Lee Cook that goes home...but whatever :(

I wasn't thrilled with any of the performances tonight. David Cook was ok...and David Archuletta was pretty good.

Now......I'm beat! Time for bed!

argh....

Today is another rainy day...which is good because this area is in the middle of a very bad drought, but its dreary.

For the past 2 days at CB I've been training a girl named Krystel. Shes really nice and seems like a girl that I could be friends with! :) Shes easy to train too... she really gets it. Shes only been there 2 days and shes doing better than that last chick.

Also yesterday morning Jesse and Lester left for a business trip to Virginia.

When I got home from work yesterday I talked to Alexis (from back home at CB #336) for almost an hour about stuff thats going on in her life right now. Anyone reading this.... try to remember to pray for her. After that I called Holli to see if she wanted to go out on a little shopping trip. We went to the shops in the plazas by Hanes Mall...Factory Card Outlet, HomeGoods, Target, and World Market. I'm a huge World Market fan now. I love that store.

After that we ate dinner at East Coast Wings. I had a Fajita Wrap and it was delicious!

Then we came home and watched the results show of American Idol. I called the boys, I knew Danny and Luke were going home this week. I didn't really suspect that Asa'h (or whatever) would be going home for the girls, but I picked her as a maybe. I thought it was going to be the Katy girl for sure...and either Asa'h, Ramiele, or the Irish chick. I'm glad it worked out the way that it did.

I didn't sleep very well last night w/o Jesse at home... but Kitsy slept beside me alllllll night! :) Shes such a good friend. She woke me up at 6:30 am throwing up everywhere. I am a little worried about how much shes been throwing up lately!!

Work today was good.... I made decent money but I love training because I make 6.15 an hour plus my tips. That little bit helps a lot.

After work I had to drive over to Lewisville Family Physicians to get my TB test checked. GOOD NEWS! I don't have to be quarantined and I can teach school! YAY! I had to get my pre-employment physical on Wednesday.

Jesse should be home soon... so I'm gonna go get in the shower I still smell like CB's fireplace...YUK!

haven't felt like writing...

sooooooooo...

I haven't posted a blog forever. I think its because I am addicted to the Bubbles game I have on here. No joke I know I've played at least 6 hours in all... and thats a soft estimate :)

I've just been doin' the cracker barrel thing... coming home cookin' dinner thing... then watching lotsa American Idol and playing SingStar with Lester and Holli thing.

Tonight... my favs on American Idol were David Archuletta, David Cook, and Jason Castro.... I always try to pick who will be going home and I'm typically right. This week I think that David Noriega and Luke Menard will be the ones packing their stuff....maybe Chikezie (how the heck do u spell that?) Did anyone else think that Paula was even more out of it tonight than usual?? She tried to stand up and almost fell over!

Had a good weekend... watched a lot of movies. We watched White Oleander, The Constant Gardener, Fracture, and Mr. Brooks. On Sunday after church Jesse and I went to the Joanie Moser Park in Lewisville with Holli and Lester. We passed football, baseball, and the boys played tennis while Hollo and I layed on a blanket and read books. I tried to read Homer Hickom's new book called, The Red Helmet...but I couldn't get into it. It had about 150 characters and they ALL had stupid nicknames. You would think that a guy from WV wouldn't wanna make WVians sound stupid..but he did.

Tomorrow maybe...if I can pry myself away from the Bubbles game...then I will tell you my thoughts on the girls.

rained a lot here today.

I don't have to work tomorrow... I have a doctors appointment at 1pm to get my pre-employment physical so I can be a "SUB"

ok...........now I can finally play some BUBBLES!

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

hate 2 B late

Ooops. This morning was a rainy yucky morning....As soon as I walked into Cracker Barrel today I was being hugged. I was confused. This lady..her name is Terri (but everyone calls her Momma) was hugging me and saying "I was so worried about you!" Then it donned on me. I MUST BE LATE!

I was supposed to be there at 10 but I showed up at 10:25 because I thought I was supposed to be there at 10:30! Oh well, they weren't busy and they didn't need me so it was ok.

The day went by pretty slow. I had a crappy section earlier but around noon the manager "cut" the floor so I had 4 tables. I only sold 166 dollars worth of food, but I somehow managed to make 40 dollars

After work I worked around the house a lot. Laundry, organized some cabinets, unloaded the dishwasher and just put random stuff away.

Holli invited us to dinner tonight. It was soo good! She made Chicken and Noodles, carrots, green beans, and biscuits....and I made mashed potatoes and tea! :) She also made some delicious butterscotch chip cookies that had instant vanilla pudding in the batter. SO GOOD! I am gonna get the recipe for those!

After dinner we hung out a while and then watched American Idol!! I am in love with David Archuletta!!! He's adorable and has a beautiful voice.

Tomorrow I don't have to work! YAY!! Jesse and I are gonna go to Walmart. Sounds fun, huh?

long time... no blog

ok..... so its been awhile (sorry)
My parents came in last weekend. I think they had a pretty good time.

On Valentines Day Jesse received a letter in the mail from his brother Mike's daughter, Emma. It included a paper doll looking character called "Flat Stanley" and a letter from "him." It was like Flat Stanley went on a vacation and stayed at our house. It was kinda fun. We took Flat Stanley everywhere with us for the weekend. We took pictures with him. It made the weekend more interesting I think!

Here is the letter I typed up to send back to Emma.....

Dear Emma,

Hello! Flat Stanley arrived in Winston-Salem, NC on Thursday February 14th, Valentine's Day! He stayed in our extra bedroom in our house.

He seemed very comfortable here!

On Friday he stayed at home and rested from his long bumpy trip in that envelope.

Then on Saturday morning we woke up early and made eggs, bacon and hash browns. We wanted to have lots of energy for a full day of adventures!

The first place we went was called Historic Bethabara Park in Winston-Salem. Flat Stanley brought lots of information home with him about the Park.

Bethabara Park was where the first settlers came to Winston-Salem all the way from Germany! We saw an old fort and Flat Stanley even pulled the Bell! He also posed for a picture in front of an old log cabin. They had an oven that Stanley thought was really cool, too. He couldn't imagine having to cook bread in that!

The next place we went was to the Reynolda House Museum of American Art. Stanley also brought back lots of information about it. We weren't allowed to take his picture inside the Museum.

Outside the Museum there was a huge garden and a greenhouse!

The greenhouse had so many neat plants that Stanley wanted to take a picture with all of them. He saw a cactus, tulips, and lots of other tropical plants, but the orchids were his favorite!

After a short potty break we were on our way to a late afternoon lunch.

Lunch was delicious! We went to Carrabba's because none of us had ever eaten there before. Stanley had spaghetti with Italian sausage. Afterwards we were stuffed but Stanley wanted to get another picture. He wanted to bring home a mint to share with you, Emma.

After lunch we went to the mall just to walk around. Stanley didn't like shopping very much (He could only peek out of Aunt Erin's purse!) so we went home. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing at home.

On Sunday morning Stanley went to church with us. Afterwards we went to Cracker Barrel to eat. Of course, Stanley wanted to take another picture.

On Monday morning Stanley went back into an envelope to come back

home to Emma's house in Hurricane, WV. I really hope he had a great time visiting Winston-Salem, North Carolina!

Love,

Uncle Jesse

Cute, huh?

Ok.... now I'm caught up sorta.

Today I didn't go to work at Cracker Barrel. I had someone pick up my shift because I was scheduled to go to the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Substitute Orientation. I had to fill out a bunch of paper work... the usual first day of work stuff, W-4's and some others. I had to make a bunch of copies of my transcript, my teaching license, ID, SS card, etc. We watched a few videos. One was a dramatization of a school shooting that was quite compelling for a video made in NC.

Afterwards I had to go over to a Lab and pee in a cup....I signed in at 12:24pm and the waiting room was filled to the BRIM! I sat there until around 1:15pm and I didn't get to leave until after 1:30pm! Of course when I left the waiting room only had 3 people in it.

Luckily the lab place was right in a big shopping center....so I went to Kohl's and then to Michael's. I really wanted to do more shopping but I had an EXTREME headache. So I drove back home, took 2 Excedrin and took a 2 hour bath (while reading "True Believer" of course) After 15 minutes I felt much better. I feel really good now! :) and I have silky smooth skin...hahaha.... Thanks to Vaseline Intensive Care Bath Salts. That stuff works great!

Jesse and Lester had to drive to Cleveland, TN today. 5 hours one way. They won't be back until around 10pm...so now I'm gonna go upstairs and watch American Idol w/ Holli.

Field Trip...

Today Holli, Lester, Jesse and I went on a "field trip" to some small town in the buttcrack of NC a little ways past Hickory. They had to deliver a policy to a client.

We stopped in Statesville on the way back and ate at Applebee's. Our waitresses name was "Christmas".. unique.

We stopped in Mocksville on the way back home too... to go to Walmart. Jesse and I have only been going to Walmart twice a month now. The Walmart thats near our apartment is always really crowded with VERY long lines. So.... Mocksville is a much better choice but its a 20 minute drive.

I bought a CrockPot and I'm kinda excited to use it.

When we got home I put the groceries away and Jesse and I went upstairs to the Conn's. Jesse and Lester played some golf video game forEVER....and then we played "SingStar" until 10:30pm.

Saturday, February 9, 2008

restful day.....

Today Jesse and I slept in.

We made "Wildberry" pancakes.... and just layed around the house for awhile.

I got kinda bored towards the afternoon so I put together (w/ help from Jesse) my old Super Nintendo. I played Super Mario World for a long time. Its the only video game I have ever been good at playing.

Then I got ready and we went to the Hanes Mall w/ the Conn's...and Shane Boggess and his girlfriend, Shanda.

At around 6:45pm we went to "Texas Roadhouse" for dinner.....The line to get into that place was cRaZy! We waited over an hour and 40 minutes... We didn't leave there until almost ten o'clock.

When we got home I played Super Mario World until midnight.

beep, beep...back the truck up

ok.... catch up time

on Saturday, Jesse and I went with Holli and Lester to look around King, NC. We were looking at some neighborhoods that we could possibly live in eventually. Then we drove up a little ways and visited Mt. Airy, NC. Mt. Airy is the town Mayberry was based on and it is the hometown of Andy Griffith. We wanted to have lunch somewhere cool...like Snappy Lunch (it was closed), The Blue Bird Diner, or Aunt Bea's....but somehow we ended up at Chili's...but it was good
Here are some photos of the "Snappy Lunch" I think you can see Floyd's Barber Shop and Opie's Candy Shop too! hahaha.... While I was standing there taking one of these pictures a strange man walked by me and said, "You shoulda got here earlier (it was 3:30pm and they close at 2) and you coulda had you a porkchop sandwich." Holli and I laughed a while about that one. I guess we looked like tourists.... in case you didn't know Andy went to the Snappy Lunch and ate porkchop sandwiches.

On Sunday we went to church at Agape Faith Church in Clemmons, NC. I'm starting to really like that church...(if Jesse will just stop jumping over purple ribbons.)

After church we drove out to Yadkin County to look at some neighborhoods out there. We found one that we liked....then we went to a park and Lester and Jesse passed football. We had lunch at Monte De Rey...a mexican restaurant. It was very good, I had Chicken Nachos Fajitas.
